I cried when this played during the final Gadolt (Gado in Japanese) scene.
Just thinking about this game gives me chills.

This is my favorite song in the game
It's a real shame that this masterpiece is technically limited, looking like a game from 2006, though its design is marvellous and that ít was released way too late when the Wii was, for the most, just a dust keeper. I never imagined such a gorgeous soundtrack. It deserves as one of the best game ever, if not the best and I played at least over +500 game in my life. I would literally throw my money to the screen if there was an HD version with an simultaneous release. I'm sure it will blow your minds.

this game wouldnt have been possible on the ps3 or 360. the vastness of the world and the draw distance just wouldnt work if it had ocer the top hd visuals. it would have been a resource hog
this is the most beautiful and relaxing soundtrack ever, i was just listening to it on vacation while sitting by the mountains and lake

Having finally gotten the game and heard the song in it's intended situation have o say i was moved and eel motivated to follow shulks quest. i think this game will be this generations final fantasy 7... just from the the first 3-4 hours i can already feel invested in the characters...

I can't believe I never even said anything myself on this! Coming back, this piece is even more beautiful the more you listen. In fact, the whole soundtrack is! Arc Rise Fantasia was still good, as Mitsuda's work always is, but the quality seen in Shadow Hearts, Chrono, Xenogears, his absolute best, is very evident with this one. Yoko Shimomura's SF2, Mario RPGs, Kingdom Hearts quality blends perfectly with his style. At first I was iffy, but after listening? Heavenly as this melody.
@gathimest Sadly yes. Meaning although we have things very similar to Xenogears we still have to wait til we get something that is factually and dead obvious of the Xenogears universe with the same cast or references to the original cast etc.
@gathimest Oh yes, definetly! And looking at the whole giant robot things I feel as though originally this was supposed to be that war of the giant robots that took place long before Xenogears that they constantly reference but they changed it into their own thing. As to why they changed last second, I don't know. All I know is that Gears and Saga inspired Blade, but Blade shares no relation with any of the others.
That screenshot makes me think of 3D Dot Heroes...a lot, actually. What's up with his sword?
Damn it all, I've been missing so many good RPGs. I haven't even gotten around to completing FF13, or even Lost Odyssey. Great choice, Supra.

@gathimest Well keep in mind that believe it or not in an interview with the actual creators this has nothing to do with Xenogears or Xenosaga. The name is merely to show they got inspired by that series. Originally they were to be related but they changed their minds. This is a stand alone title.
@omnislash14 Very well! About 10 hours total of rowing so my arms are completely dead right now. :P And also tons of sun burns (I didn't use enough solar cream!). We found a nice island for our tents, everything went well. Some animals here and there but no bear encounters thankfully. It was the Baskatong Lake.

I've been hearing great impressions for this game since its release in Japan. A friend of mine told me it's one of his favorite RPGs in a long time. I'm a big Monolith fan so I really hope this game is announced here (E3?). From what I've heard so far, the soundtrack might be one of the best this year has to offer. Can't go wrong with Shimomura, and I'm rapidly becoming a fan of ACE+ (they made the music for Emil Chronicle Online).
@koimaster Nier's songs were so amazing that I wore them out within a week. I was like an addict. XD
