I'm not a fan of any of the games starring Yoshi (I know, heretic), but I've got to admit, this is one great piece of music.
I loved Yoshi's Island, but pretty much any other game starring Yoshi as the hero was mediocre at best to me.

I dunno, it depends on how well it's done. Super Mario World had the same basic melody for all of the levels, including the ghost houses and castles, but it's done so subtly that it's hard to notice.
rented this from blockbuster ages ago. I was SURPRISED how short it was. I mean, I knew it had replay value in the collectables and such, but I could not imagine someone justifying a full purchase price for it.

Is it just me, or would having the songs from Yoshi's Story play as background music in real life be awesome?
I played this when I was a lot younger and going through an unhappy period in my life (I'm much better off now :) ), and had to stop at some points because I was afraid to see the crying Yoshis getting carried off if I "died."

This game wasn't terrible, but not only it made Yoshi gayish, it also introduced his annoying sounds.

Ah, Yoshi's Story. I miss that game. It was really cute, and fun imo. But I was really little when I played it.
@nanhuazhenren Nah Yoshi's Island had some difficult levels especially if you were aiming for high scores.

Aw, I remember this. So classic. Ending Story was always my favorite of the soundtrack, though.

Eeee, I love this song! Yoshi's Story was fun. Insultingly easy and had some of the worst enemy designs ever, but it was good fun!
I don't remember this game being GOOD. But...Yoshi being in it has to count for something XP. He's like, one of the best supporting characters of all time. But that's just my opinion. Good music.

While a surprisingly memorable game, it still was a dissapointment for me, as a 'sequel' to Yoshi's Island. It was barely challenging, some bosses in particular being piss easy, the platforming was meh since you had a huge jumping range, and nothing really stood out. Didn't keep me from finishing it about a dozen times to find all the levels though.
God, I don't know if it is because of nostalgia or not but no matter how critical I look at this game, I still love it.
Among the first games I ever played. It will always be remembered as a symbol of when life was simpler.

God, this game was awful on so many levels- not the least of which was because it ruined Yoshi forever. From badass dino to Barney wannabe in one game flat. Also, Super Mario World had the same theme for each of its stages, but it did a better job of hiding it.
I never did find all those ****ing melons.
This is my favorite song in the whole game. I've learned how to play the steel drum part on guitar and working on the acoustic part.

I like the music, and instrumentation (Steel drums FTW!). But the promotional art is awesome. Real figurines, I think!

@SupraDarky lol I'm the opposite. I like games like that, if the music actually sounds good that is. Both had very pleasant music.
The game's main theme, simple yet memorable. I do have to say that I'm not a big fan of games that use the same theme over and over again but with different instruments for the different levels. Yoshi's Island DS had the same problem.
