yeah it's still not the original though. This does sounds better I guess, in a "next time on Dragon Ball Z" kind of way.
This is the 3DO version. It had to be recorded by a live band because the PC music could not be ported over in the time they had to kick it out the door. Besides, this doesn't even denote any particular version, just that it's E1M1 from *a* Doom, not specifically the PC version.
Somewhat fitting for doom to be at 666.
thr snes. 32x had good graphics but horible sound for this game. the snes version had bad graphics but good sound. weird
it was the opposite -__- Snes have better graphics and terrible sound chip while 32x have average graphics and very good music cos they invested most of money into sound chip.

Does anyone notice the other space marine in the background? It's like he's saying "Hey Bob! You forgot your lunch!" Can't he see the massive horde of demons attacking the protagonist?
@SupraDarky That's a huge shame as Doom II was the best one in the series. Inclusion of the double barrel shotgun and the Icon of Sin finale was a fantastic ride. Doom 1 was good, but II was everything 1 had but taken to the next level.

Never really enjoyed the Doom series that much (Or any FPS but Deus Ex for that matter) but I have to give credit were credit is due: This game has probably some of the best music in any game ever. That's why it's on Best VGM (NO SHIT, SHERLOCK!)
Good choice of song, but I prefer the original (PC) version. It's a lot more intense and gets you excited to kill some demons.

@SupraDarky YOU NEVER PLAYED DOOOM2?! It's PROBABLY the best of the bunch! Great levels, great enemies, really akward story, not to mention a world famous last boss(hehe). It's worth playing even now!

@SupraDarky You must try Doom 2 (along with the Master Levels) and Final Doom. Those two were the best (my opinion).

5th viewer, first poster
A classic right there. It gets you right into it as soon as you start playing, shooting everything in sight. This is the 3DO version, by the way (the only good thing about that horrible port). I really liked this game, Doom 64 and Doom 3 but I've never given Doom 2 a try.
