I was at a local game trade shop the other day and a stranger in the store had the Protoman whistle as his ringtone. And I was wearing my Mega Man t-shirt. An instant bond was formed, and this stranger recommended I play Journey to Silius. I told him I had only heard of it from a VGM playlist I regularly listen to. And he asked me if I meant SurpaDarky's. I did.
That is a 100% marriage and lifetime bond match there.
@masterplusmargarita Developers really did some impressive with the NES in the early 90's such as Kirby's Adventure.
Wait, this is NES? Apart from the fact that the actual melody is awesome, the quality is awesome. This is something I'd expect on SNES, and even then, I'd be pretty impressed.
This sounds BETTER than SNES! snes could never pull this type of music off. Chiptune will always have a distinct sound to it that can never be recreated with sample music.

Journey to Silus looks like such a bogus game. But i would play it for the soundtrack.

Good thing Journey to Silius was a great game, but I think it would have been better if it kept the Terminator license, maybe then we wouldnt have the shitty LJN Terminator 2 games or the shitty Mindscape Terminator 1 game that oddly came out AFTERWARDS.
Would you believe this awesome music and the game it is from were originally intended to be a licensed game based on the first Terminator Movie? I can't help but think of Schwarzenegger 's iconic movie poster when I hear this. And then think, "This is so his style."

naoki kodaka is the best nes composer ever and journey to silius is hands down his best work. easily one of my favorite soundtracks ever and this is one of the best tracks from the game

Crap, I was wrong. AVGN wasn't the one who recently did this game, it was LordKat from Until We Win. I guess I mixed them up cause he's done some games featured by AVGN. But still, this game was LordKats most recent game, but I guess that's unrelated to you posting this VGM. Swordquest one was great. It was more informative, than it was bashing the game. James Rolfe is really good at his research and talking about stuff, you should watch his Monster Madness videos, or his one on Sleepy Hollow.
I'd risk my life on an epic journey if it came with music like this.
