One thing I've noticed on my more recent playthroughs is that after being so used to the fast-paced dogfights of Assault Horizon, the enemies and even my own jet in AC4, 5, Zero, and 6 all feel like they're in super-slow-mo. It trips me out when I can basically tell what the baddie is going to do next.
Radioactive dust cloud and EMP from a nuke will do just fine.

Man I played the shit out of this game, it's totally awesome. When the music is blasting, your squad is telling you stuff over the com and your dogfighting it feels incredible.

Interesting you mentioned CoD. Assault Horizon is effectively CoD recycled in the sky.

you "can hack" a human pilot.... corruption, etc can break a pilot's loyalty thereby their limiting or impairing their decision making to a certain extent. (O_O||)

I believe that the composers at project ace are among the best in the game industries. If you don't like anything else about AC, you have to at least like the music.
but listen you don't get the depth perception that you do in real life. A pilots ability to think on the fly is unmatched as well as their ability to think outside of normal parameters and do things a computer wouldn't because it would be programed to follow the rules. Plus here is a big concept. You can't hack a human. Another thing have you seen Stealth, that sort of thing can happen. Also if you are in the cockpit you don't get that seconds delay because a signal has to relayed of a satellite
they want be too reliant on drones :) that would not work yet.
The Air Force *adores* your brain for its unmatched creative and deductive capabilties, and would nothing more than to have you be in charge of guiding one of their fighter jets. However, they're as keen not having to bring your body onboard, since it's essentially dead weigth, and more importantly, an significant additional expense to cover, should the aircraft be shot down.
I'd like to be a pilot, but by the time I'm 18, I'll be playing a computer game instead. I hope they don't become too reliant on drones. I'm 15 by the way, not a 7 year old wannabebadass in the military.

@MouadSbai You definitely should. The PS2 had a few good ones, and the new one for PS3 & Xbox 360 is the first time you're in the 'real world' rather than the Ace Combat world. So, NATO, Russia, etc.

I remember when I first played this level. it was a pain in my ass. but the music throughout the whole game and the game play with the four seperate story lines that all connected together in the end was just.. wow. and from just playing the demo of this on the 360 had inspired me to become a pilot. thanks man for posting this. 100 points!

He's not playing them in your living room, so what do you care? I, personally, take "body of work." Plenty of bad stories are good games.

I would like to see an Ace Combat game that was made like an RPG game. Not like the traditional kind were you can do different kinds of upgrades and such. Although I would keep the Aircraft upgrade, but I would give it a mode where if you were shot down then you had an escape and evasion mode just like in the actual air force.

ace combat 2 had the best soundtrack for the ac games in my opinion. it was filled with perfect music for each mission. and breafing.

This is really really cinematic. In fact, if you hadn't told me it was from a video game, I would have thought it to be from a war movie of some sort. It's the dramatic orchestration, and the drawn out arrangement that separate it from most VGM. No complaints though, just noting that it treads the shrinking frontier between video game music and film score.
Please don't tell me this is your first AC song. :( I don't even play AC much, and I know how good the soundtracks are. Not to impune your knowledge or anything. <_<
