the best zelda in my opinion is ocarina of time and majoras mask because the story line was the most darkest and saddest in the whole entire zelda series, and the hero of time was the link i was the closest too..because he was the only link in the entire series, who was forgotten and never remembered as the hero who saved hyrule and he lost everyone he ever cared about and he reppeared in twlight princess as a Stalfos the skeleton warrior regretting the mistakes he made passing the techniques to the new link but OOT also had the best soundtrack aswell.

this is one of the most powerful themes in the entire series, especially because it precedes one of gaming's all-time greatest moments, the first appearance and subsequent lifiting of the blade of evil's bane, the Master Sword.

Ditto! The feel of the foggy forest, the douchebags bumping into you and stealing your stuff, spiders hiding under bushes, electric blob-thing'ies. It's the best tune in the whole series, definitely waht gives me most nostalgia too.

Man... there was something about this song and the forest in general. Playful but sinister... for some reason makes me think 'Skull Kid' nowadays. Also for some reason, the thieves/mist/fake swords/music mixed together made me a little afraid of the place.

In the first 7 seconds, does anyone else hear where the Ocarina of Time developers might have felt inspired to compose the Forest Temple theme? :) It's just a lot faster and staccato-ish here. One of my favourite themes in the game, I was super sad when the master sword banished the music forever :c

To be honest I like midi music better in video games because all the games had their own sound. When every game uses real instruments they might have their own style but a violin in one game will sound the same as in every other game with real violin. I like how every game used to have their own unique midi sounds.
i swear all zelda music is legendary. Gerudo valley, kokori forest, dragon roost island, the dark world, etc... zelda will always be the best game ever!

This song was the one I liked the most. I remember my first time playing, I was going back to the forest just to hear the music. When it played the overworld music (because I found the master sword already), I remember being really disappointed. I even went "AWWW" and startling my parents. :P I wish I was a kid again :')

This game easily has the most epic and dramatic Master Sword scene of all the Zelda games. With each of the games it's a big thing yeah, but here, you only mess with the sword once to make it seem that much more grand, not to mention you're so happy it's not a fake! The fog, the animals, and then...your pearls rise-they shine and Link goes to pull. The fog clears, a ray of light shines down upon Link from between the trees, he pulls up the sword! It glimmers with the light to banish evil! Epic.
