Honestly, I find this song so bland up until the choir kicks in.
I never played Wow, but the blandness probably sets in well with first exploring and introducing yourself to the area.

BGM is trivial? Sir, you've got it completely backwards. BGM is what makes the mood what it is. If you played a game that was completely silent, there would be no emotion. Without sad music, the scene wouldn't be sad. Without scary music, you wouldn't be frightened. Without happy music, you wouldn't be happy. People don't realize how important video game music is to every part of a game. That's why VGM is so amazing <3

this damn music gets me al lthe time., me and a friend levelled like crazy (buddy got first 80 orc) and it was damn empty up there wich only added to the whole mood of the area. so damn great! I dont play myself anymore either, a new expansion comes out, i check it out and grow bored quite fast.
the music of wotlk and especially tne one of the mountains of thunder is the best music for video game i have ever heard. It is at the level of the best films soundtracks. Absolutely wonderful.

@lustikurre I found the vanilla music to be as good as the gameplay in vanilla itself, and I played that game from beta untill BC came out, so yeah, I liked it :) But hey, to each their own!
@SlRDancealot Sorry but I disagree with you. Yes there were some good tracks like stormwind and the night elf areas had some enjoyable tunes, but there wasn't much more that that, that i can think of. Overall wotlk had better music.

The sad thing about wow is that most peopel I know play with music off, just cuz the music in vanilla and bc weren't very good overall. I always play with music turned on the first time I'm in a new zone. Lucky for me so I could hear this masterpiece and more... like the music in Sholazar Basin i.e. Thumbs up for the music in wotlk. Keep doing music like this one in cataclysm and I'll never turn the music off again. well... mostly :P

the temple of AQ is best but this one is pretty good also
the storm peaks theme is the best piece of music in wow, really. When i first got there, me and my buddy were far ahead of the level zerg. so we had it almost alone.. the theme fit well witht he enviroment and you really felt the solitude of the place. Really awesome theme that fits so perfectly with the epic enviroment! and the part that begins around 1:52 or so is really wonderful!

Very nice entry SupaDarky, I heared this tune a MILLION times as I farm and do lots of ganking in the Stormpeaks! World of Warcraft has several beautiful tracks, such as the one in Silvermoon City, if you add that it'll be nice.
I would play this if not for subscription fees. Maybe someday.
you should come back and listen to the new raids and instance dungeons music, Patch 3.3 did amazing setting the mood
Can you upload some of the old raid dungeon music from blackwing lair, molten core etc, when your in the boss chambers? :)
I've stopped playing this game for a while now, but this was probably the zone I spent the most time in on Northrend. Did a lot of daily quests there and I loved the snowy mountain setting with the music. Magical.
