Ahh, Ecco the Dolphin. When I first got this game, I remember being so pissed because it wasn't Street Fighter. Needless to say, I'm really grateful I got it. It left an impact on my gaming forever.
I played the first one on sega. Timeless. Still forget the purpose of the game lmao.

I bought a Dreamcast just over a month ago (I had wanted one since I was a teenager) and my girlfriend asked me why I bought such an old console. I popped in this game, and she couldn't get over how good the graphics looked on a game this old. She's not wrong you know...
I've had my dreamcast ever since i was 3, still haven't stopped playing it since. Its an amazing console, its a shame the ps2 killed it before it could grow.

This would be nice if it weren't for the Poltergeist background piano.
At first this isn't very relaxing and it seems to have a suspenseful dangerous tone to it.
This Game took you deep into the water, really awesome visuals and atmosphere because of the great music and awesome bosses.
music is awesome and hauntingly majestic....but at the same time, makes me feel like i'm in a horror movie and something bad is about to happen.
Goes great with my Biology homework.

this makes me so depressed/nostalgic to listen to this song because of the fact that their not making another to the series(yet).this game had such unique puzzle, and game play that got me playing it over and over. probably my favorite series with such depth to the story that you cant find in today games i.e halo or Cod. i dont know how many times ive played this game just for the soundtrack. a lot of the time i would sit in one level swimming in circles listening to music and injoying scenery

@Hisotrygeek94 I agree with both of you. What really pisses me off is that ScrewAttack love taking great pleasure in beating up poor Ecco. After several criticisms for his thoughts on the first Ecco game, Craig's response was a highly sarcastic view on the sequel, Tides of Time. To summarise it: "Oh man, I'm so sorry for bashing Ecco. This game is actually good for all of this awesome stuff. No, Ecco sucks."

@sonicfreak94 humm thanks but where i cand find the game file to use in the emulator?
@Lusitanus "NullDC" is a good emulator to use for emulating the Dreamcast. There are some other alternatives such as "Demul," but NullDC seems a bit more polished to me. As for the PS2, the only PS2 emulator I know of is "PCSX2." If you like, I can PM you some links and resources to get you started, or you can look them up on Google.
@sonicfreak94 forgot to ask, where and how can i emulate dreamcast or ps 2 ?? I already emulated games from mega drive and nintendo 64
@sonicfreak94 here in my country its illegal only if you download to make money from it. now if you download for use at home its fine, because its like someone lending it to you.
@Lusitanus If you have a computer powerful enough to emulate the Sega Dreamcast or the Playstation 2, then yes. If you don't own the console or game you're trying to emulate however, it's illegal, from my understanding. (In the United States at least; I'm not sure how it is in other countries.)

It took you 600 tunes before you finally posted some Ecco music? For shame, SupraDarky. Then again, either there was too much other stuff to post first or you've never really played the series. If the latter is the case, then play more Ecco and post more Ecco music.

@Morax666666 - If you liked the old Ecco games, you will LOVE Defender of the Future in my opinion. It's basically the same idea as the old Eccos except it's in 3D. That's the best I can describe it. In the same vein as the older Eccos, too, it's VERY hard to beat - some levels took me several hours to days to eventually figure out. Excellent game though - a game ANY Ecco fan simply has to play :)

This games soundtrack is amazing!!!!!!!!! The game was pretty good too.
I didn't really like the genesis games, but the game gear/master system versions are always replayable, whether on my computer or on my actual game gear.
@Morax666666 My mom has one of the games for the PS2. Which is also called "Defender of the Future" so I believe it's the same game. I didn't like it at all. The game was just all about being cute and didn't appeal to me that much.
The graphic is stunning, beautiful water effects, but the gameplay is awful (so boring).

Indeed. I also ended up browsing for the first Ecco game on the Sega Game Gear I played. I was so young, I had no idea I was doing, but still managed to get quite far. Need to find some proper gameplay of it...
