@Elrinth That's the one, Like Dislike was referring to the Waterworld soundtrack and I said that I commissioned a cover "of that soundtrack", referring to Waterworld. I might throw up some money eventually to get a Flintstones cover done.
Lol, no he doesn't. The Waterworld soundtrack is the only good thing about that game, but it doesn't beat David Wise's DKC2 score. Not at all.

Can we just talk about the box and how it says "Dolby Surround"? The SNES can only produce stereo. How is that even possible?
Dolby made some sort of "surround" system, where sounds out of phase in the 2 channels were moved to the rear speaker.
In layman's terms; old Dolby Surround was an encoding technology matrixed the 4 (or was it 3?) audio channels into the normal stereo jacks. When the jacks were plugged into a Dolby Surround decoder, the stereo signal would be decoded and the original channels would play. A more refined version of the analog system would later be used in a lot of PS2 games, since the PS2 could not do digital 5.1 in gameplay
The rest of the tracks better have been fantastic to not use this one.

Hello, you! The composer says the song wasn't written for any particular reason. He was asked for songs to put into the Flintstones game, and this was one of them. The programmers used spare space on the ROM to fill it up with music for their jukebox. Other tracks he'd written were used for the game, but this wasn't suitable - but it was left on the game cartridge.

Dean Evans composed this. He also uploaded the track to Youtube and in the video description he says: "After receiving lots of emails asking me to upload this, here you go. This track was never actually written for anything in particular, until I was asked if I had any unused tracks I'd written that could be added to 'The Flintstones'. There were four tracks that I contributed, those being - Password Screen, Cinema, Staff Roll and this. "

While I'll agree with you it does have a Ice/underwater setting feel. but This is one that would randomly be in a jungle level for some reason. Like I could picture it. even though we'd all prefer it to be a water type level.

Well, it was used, but there was extra ROM space, so the composer made this song for the sound test to fill up the space.

I think I can see why this wasn't used. While it's amazing, does it really fit the Flintstones? I don't think it sounds old enough at all. I haven't played the game though, so maybe none of the tracks sound stone age-ish at all :s.
the story behind this track is that is was composed independently of the Flintstones and it was used for the game's jukebox for the sake of having more songs

This is the kind of shit that bothers me when video game developers have to scrap certain ideas from the table because the others thinks "it sucks" but I'm not surprised since it's just a game about "whom is better". Sure, this might not belong in this game but I'm SURE that this theme was going to be for something else much better than this garbage.

Hey, another Ocean game. I guess they used to port to/from the amiga a lot? The tones used sound very reminiscent of amiga games, and I remember a lot of Ocean games were on the Amiga. Shame they're not still around, though I guess games like this are why... This track wasn't even used? Goodness me, what a waste. A great track, unused in a game few played, it's actually a shame.
