Hey guys. Remember when Patriarch Sergius destroyed an entire planet and summoned a superweapon that can teleport a bullet directly into the brain of anyone in the universe? Anyone? Dammit, this was a filler arc, wasn't it?
this here... easily ranks up there in some of my absolute favorite music... regardless of genre. i usually play this when i'm trying to sleep lately. even still, before i had the mp3 on my computer i would leave the game on in this area and listen until i got tired of the song.

Xenosaga Episode II has one of the worst soundtracks imo. 'Minor Boss Battle' and that song during the final fight with Albedo aren't terrible, but otherwise I would strongly refer anybody to the ost of Episode I.
It's definitely a ymmv thing, but I liked how booming and epic it was at times. The music in Labyrinthos was my favorite.
Worst maybe, but still good. It goes well with the high-tech/future sci-fi setting of the game.

Y'know, I really enjoyed Episode 2's music I only wished that the cutscene variants of some of the songs were out but they were never really released and I think the songs are only in the cutscenes so they can't be ripped out like all the other bgms :( Of course, I loved the entire saga series music, Mitsuda, Hosoe, Kajiura were wonderful in making such music and I can only hope they can continue with the new "X" games

nah they're completely unrelated outside of xenoblade using some machine designs from xenogears
Definitely, the beginning sounds very similar to the dungeon theme in zelda 3: a link to the past. I dont think i've ever played any games from the xenosaga series but i feel like i've missed out from what i've heard from the ost so far. I loved the game xenoblade though does anyone know if that's meant to be a prequel or sequel to the xenosaga series or are they completely unrelated?
This seems to put me in a dark unworldly place. Everything around me is drowning within a secluded void of deep thought. Dark clouds resonate and all inside are consumed by its dark embrace.
This music couldn't be more dull and plodding if it tried.
i gotta disagree lol... it's atmospheric and methodical to me... but i tend to like a lot of music with slower paced tempos for some reason.

You know I will never understand why they didn't release the whole music from the game. To me they made Shinji Hosoe look like shit. thanks to the fans that ripped the music from the game I can experience this song on my mp3 player.

@SupraDarky Wow. This actually what this song evokes for me too: walking out of one of the dim lecture halls in a completely unoccupied building during one of my late weekend night study binges.
I've put those on my PSP, along with a ton of other songs. Some of them sound really great with headphones!

Interesting piece, is all I can say, Reminds something about serious top of the feeling on the tip, with a small twist of plotting tune. =/ Weird.
This is a good piece of music. I think I'll leave it loop while I'm in the lab.
And if you're wondering, 3 of the other songs are BoF5's Electric Power Building, Legaia 2's Lost Forest, Old Miltia from this game. All because of me playing them while studying.
Believe it or not, this is actually in my Top 5 Most Played game songs on my computer. Mostly due to those endless nights studying. Can't really explain why. I really associate it with night time, sitting in front of my computer, studying with one little desk lamp turned slightly on.
