Played this for the first time 3 years ago. Was blown away by how good it was. It's like ff8 but with one character, and more spooky, mixed with an 80's detective movie.
I beat this game with the invincibility code.
What is it with blonde-haired green-eyed Squaresoft protagonists and freaky body horror plot twists?
Very nice game, I enjoyed it when I was very young. Bad ass intro too.

@Stauben its one of my all time favorite rpg's for the PS1 its a must get then only thing that sucks for me is my case and manual was stolen along time ago but i still have the disks

@thisbarb to be honest the worms were annying though i did enjoy fighting eve in central park she one of those bosses in a game i look foward to fighting

The first time i played this game, i said she's gonna get caught running like that. Missing Perpective and Progress is my favorite music throughout the game. Parasite Eve 10/10 Best VGM of ALL TIME!

After hearing this song, I found the soundtrack, listened to it, and thought: "This game must be freaking awesome!" SO I found it and played it. Best string of decisions in my life thus far xD

I must have played this game through like fifty times when I first got it. I couldn't get enough of it. Aya is still the coolest female protagonist I've ever known in a video game.

Did a playthrough of this again rather recently, and it still beats out a lot of the new releases we've been seeing. The soundtrack alone seems to do that quite easily. =)

They essentually set it up so that you were alone in a lot of extremely creepy places with a lot of "jump out and scare you" style bad guys. You gained levels and whatnot in the game but realistically it came down mostly to upgrading your guns. So spending a lot of time leveling up like you do in a normal RPG wasn't necessarily required, but was however possible.
Gives a ....weird feeling, Not in a bad way, but in a excited way. Like it. :)
