I never played this game when it originally came out, but they recently re-released it on the Switch as Grandia I and II. I got it and I love every minute of it. I am still playing through the first game. I'll start on the second as soon as I beat the first game. The quality of RPGs has gone way down as of late. They need to bring back these masterpieces. The watered-down RPGs they have today will make me lose all interest in the genre.

I don't know how Noriyuki Iwadare was able to fit that guitar riff in there with a straight face. It's so cheesy that it somehow transcended even 'awesome'. Words cannot describe how much this song alone has affected my life. My hat's off to you, Iwadare, the most 'underrated' video game composer of all time!
That violin opening, reaching it's climax at 0:08, is a masterpiece itself! :O
This music makes me teary eyed just listening to it. Maybe it's silly, but the atmosphere of this game, and just how it was back when i first picked it was -amazing-. I am not ashamed to say, it's the first game i ever played that made me cry, and I'm sure most people know what i'm talking about :).

I would say Porco Rosso is the badest from Ghibli
I downloaded this game from the Playstation Store a few months ago. Too bad I didn't get it way back when.

A long time ago, I modded my Wii so that a loopable version of this song played while I fought on Toon Link's Pirate Ship stage. Noriyuki Iwadare did contribute to Smash Bros. Brawl too... it would have been glorious if this song had appeared in this game... then a lot of entry-level gamers would have the opportunity to appreciate such a masterpiece.

I really enjoyed this game. It was one of the few that I recorded the cut scenes on. "To the 'End of the world'". It was really fun the whole way through, even the grinding was fun.

I played this game such a long time ago. I remember that I beat it, but I dont remember one thing about the game. the main character, story and the music. A good reason to play it again I suppose...

My favorite RPG on the Playstation. Series started downhill once Enix stepped into the publisher role though.
Wow. Just... wow. I need to play the first one. The only experience I have with the Grandia series is completing 2 for... well, not even God knows how many times; and as for Xtreme, well, I don't talk about that one.
