So the previous song #442 had the lyrics that sounded like "Holli Holli", now this... Was that intentional!? I wouldn't think anything of it if it weren't for some of the other sequences/references SD sometimes does.
I just imagine Mr./Ms. Garrison from South Park running up to this place and singing: "HEY, YOU STUPID FUNGUS BITCHES, MERRY FUCKING CHRISTMAS!!!"

The Shroobs have no care for Christmas... If you listen carefully, the music is Jingle Bells, played in A Minor Key.
This song really captures the essence of both an abandoned village and a forgotten warzone, of which Holli Jolli turned into after the Shroob attacks.
Very reminiscent of Professor Layton.

great game. great song. my only complain about it is that there wasn't much else to do besides the story, which was great, but you know... sometimes you want an impossibly hard sideboss

Question for SupraDarky: have yoou ever heard of an N64 game called Glover? It's a platformer with fantastic music. I'm not sure if it's on VC or not, but if it is, you should definitely try it out.

Gawsh. I wanted this game but I can't find it ANYWHERE.
It's the dramatic, almost orchestral one, powerful and quite dark. The kind of track you'd expect at the end of some epic movie, rather than a humourous and fairly cartoony game.
my friend let me borrow this game for 2 weeks. was on final boss 2nd form and got beat. i still have it now.. its like the BEST game ever. and i HATED this place big time when i first when there.
Wasn't this track supposed to be... ya know, jolly? It sounds like a funeral, but still, very good.
This game actually has 2 "final boss" songs, I don't remember which one is the real final one. Is it the calmer/dramatic song against the older shroob or the more upbeat song against princess shroob? Both are good songs.

What's your opinion on the final boss music in this game, Supra? I sure as heck wasn't expecting it to be that epic- it's not the kind of thing you expect from a Mario game! But it blew me away. This one is well-suited to the area it plays in. Those creepy old mushroom women... blerr.
This game wasn't exactly as good as the first one to me, but it was still pretty good. I can't wait for the 3rd one though.
