One of the best Overworld (Underworld?) themes from the 16-Bit days, I loved this soundtrack so much when I finally got to play this on an Emulator. It's too bad the US never saw this released, what a waste.
So sad that many great games didn't get an international release. I would have loved this game.
i remember on nintendo power they this game was called genesis or something
That was probably their working title which is very fitting if you take the story into account. It's about about rebuilding the world start from nothing. Genesis means origin or the beginning and the Book of Genesis (Bilble/Moses) explains how the world was created.

The game was not released in North America, that's why. But I beat the game on an emulator (zSNES)

Also, the underworld had one of the most interesting uses of Mode 7 I had ever seen on the old SNES/SFC. I'm not even sure how to describe it.
This was back when Squaresoft and Enix were separate companies and both produced great games unlike today...

What the hell? I thought this WAS the overworld theme since you hear it on the map.
My God, this sounds almost too entirely identical to the music in FF3\6.
I don't have the game, unfortunately. I remember seeing it on the shelves for cheap when I went to Spain years ago, I should have gotten some copies!
