I loved this dungeon, the only thing that sucked IMO was the boss felt kinda bland (not the mid-boss, Gomez rocked)

I agree. IMO, this temple is worse than the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time.
Hated this part of the game more than anything...
Termina was based off a land in which the inhabitants defied the gods so they were cursed and this type of environment was the result
...beyond those words, there lies a true meaning, and that's what i searched for, i researched and came to this: the fact that the developers say it's a parallel world, it's STRICTLY linked to the fact that they had 1 1/2 years to release the game, right after OoT's release, and they had to reuse many models from OoT, if you think about it, games don't make themselves, there're people behind them, and what they think and do, affects the in game universe, that's why it's "not" a parallel world
of course it matters, you're forgetting game devlopers are companies, and therefore, they ALL search for money, and therefore, they must back up each other whenever a mistake has happened, don't be naive, and you can't deny that if Ocarina of Time was made because they love their franchise and gave their best, Majora's Mask was made just to keep up the sales while the N64 was the current Nintendo Platform, I know it's officially a parallel world, i know that, but...
I saw all those things and i still think it isn't a parallel world, characters like Malon and other's models were reused just to complete the game within the short time limit they had to do it, The Parallel world thing is just an explanation the team gave us to understand the reusage of all those things, and actually, the Mask Salesman says he travels in search of masks, how wouldn't he notice he crossed the gap to another world?, assuming gaps looks like the one Link crossed?

The best thing about this game is the music, because it REALLY makes you feel the situation! Great game, great music.
@jefferyrlc I have always thought that, being parallel it's an explanation due to the time crisis the developers had to bear, Termina is not Parallel, but it's far away from Hyrule, or maybe not even that far, maybe next to it, being a forest the link between Hyrule and Termina, anyway, my point is that Majora's maybe hooked Link into Termina, so he could easily kill him, and therefore destroy most of the world as it was a mix of skull kid sadness and Majora's anger by being sealed

Have you noticed that when you inverts the temple, the moon doesnt appear in the upside down sky?
I own some of the greatest N64 games that ever existed. Those include TLoZ: OC, and MM, and Super Mario 64. I would be playing the hell out of them, but my N64 controller is broken :(
this game is what you get when developers care about their games and put effort into them. MM is one of the best games I have ever played and I'd really like to see it on the 3DS
@metalsonic641 No, Termina is more of a parallel world of Hyrule. How Link was able to cross the border... that really doesn't get explained.
@yogurtman321 This, though I found the time system and emphasis on sidequests frustrating enough for me not to regard the game to be an all-time favorite. That said, I do prefer Majora's Mask to Ocarina of Time, but I prefer Twilight Princess to both of them. Twilight Princess, for me, had all the best things about Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, but it failed to feel phenomenal enough for me to regard the game as an all-time favorite.
Play this game sometime at night with the lights off. It makes you feel quite uneasy.
i love this game, not only cause it was awesome, but because it also continued from when link was a kid after ocarina of time :3

I don't know if I consider this the best Zelda game, but it was very good, and at the very least Nintendo did try to make a different game, instead of OoT 1.5

Loved this game. Always found it a bit sad so many people I've talked to didn't immediately understand the time system and gave up. Some people say it should have been made more accessible but having finished it when I was 8 (when it came out) and loved it I can't but find these overcomplicated claims a bit confusing compared to my experience of it.
This game has a lot of replayability because of its gameplay structure. You can beat everything and still play through the whole game over again without a new save.

@Reledude yeah it is cause it's not the best. i think majora's mask and twilight princess are better. but it's definetly better than wind waker.
@gameaddict51 OoT isn't overrated, it fully deserves all the acclaim, but I agree on one part: Majora's Mask is definitely on par with OoT and it gets underappreciated.

Yeah, definitely my favorite Zelda game. Its atmosphere was much more fatalistic and morbid than anything TP had to offer.

very good way of putting it, and i never thought about it like that but you are so right, nothing seems right in the game, where as ocorina of time, everything seems so epic and straightforward. where as this, its just so damn unique

I don't get the obsession with trying to make theories about this game's plot. Not that they're bad or anything, but personally, I don't think this game's plot *needs* an explanation. It was SUPPOSED to kinda be creepy and unexplained. This includes why there is a face on the moon, Majora's Mask itself and other crazy shit that happens in this game. Termina exists because it just does. (Though it probabally has to do w/ the mask itself)

HOLY CRAP. Really, that's all I can say.
I kind of like it though. If you put a bunch of things together, everything makes much more sense. It's almost as if the game never ends, because there are things that happen that make you go "huh?", but then either you figure it out, or someone explains it to you and you're like "Whoa, that's crazy yet it actually makes sense!". There's this interesting theory about Stone Tower and how it was the Terminian Tower of Babel and stuff. Besides the part about penis it actually makes a lot of sense.
This is one of the best dungeon themes of the series. There is a great remix on Overclocked Remix.
As a real Zelda fan who played all LoZ games i can`t say there is one "best Zelda Game" each zelda game has its own special feeling. And Majoras Mask is a Masterpiece, same as OoT. so Don`t argue which game is better, and just listen to the beautiful Soundtrack :)

It's on my list of faves too. The Ikana region had music that was rather dark...yet I liked them all. The puzzles in this dungeon were rather intense too.
Damn it, everytime you post music fram a game that i played i get the uncontrollable urge to replay it...And its still 2 weeks till i`m home again where my consoles are T_T WANT
I remember the first time I heard this music. Definitely one of the best temple themes in Zelda. Something good to listen to when you would get stuck in this temple.

Yeah, at about 0:24-0:25 it sounds like the beginning of the song "Edgar & Sabin" (the Figaro Castle theme).

This is that place where you make clones of the different forms of yourself with that one song, and the bosses where giant masked worms. Part of the temple was upside down too, and you had to flip it. I also remember a ninja that explodes when you kill him, maybe that was the miniboss.
I loved this one. Probably my favorite track on the game aside from the "Final Day" music in the town.
