Would pay some serious cash to get my hands on this game for PS4. Loved it as a teenager.
I enjoy the middle section of this piece, but the beginning and ending riffs kinda ruin the replayability of it

The best pure "JRPG " since at least It's 2007 release , and one of the greatest of all time for lore. Of all the sequels they make to ho hum garbage nobody ever asked them to , why couldn't Microsoft and Mistwalker see this was their biggest most promising chance for a new JRPG IP , which didn't look or feel like an average stereotypical anime? or like a bad 3D attempt with no original depth In story , but one which blended oldschool with new In a unique epic fashion.. and did It authentically without feeling antiquated graphically? This was the natural progression of FFX and exactly where the FF series should've gone. In other words this dosen't feel like " throwback " bs that only reminds you of the glory days of Square. Backstory Is all time worthy. The music Is 90's classic soundtrack level. Microsoft will never be a serious global threat If they can't compete In japan Imo , and japan will never accept Microsoft unless they truly change the stereotypes of their console's target market , and make big budget JRPG exclusives. THEY'RE STILL VIABLE . Mistwalker tried AND succeeded here. Dropping support because It didn't sell over million on a FPS-centric system sucks , and shows alot of ppl In charge simply don't know what's up or look at the long-term potential of cult-status games like this when viewed among their own similar products of same genre. Not compared to sales or acclaim to everything else. They should re-investigate older games modern potential by studying It's reverence to compare. They might then see how much It's notoriety had time to grow and foster. LO deserves a second chance. Square never made a sequel to Chrono Cross or a dozen other obvious cash cows that just need the next number In the title... must not like ALOT more money!. The Industry Is no longer developed or marketed by a gamers creator anymore ( except CDprojekt RED , and Fromsoftware etc ). Everytime I cross the newer IGN or Gamespot staff over the past 10 years I can clearly see that. People nowdays force whatever games they want to to be big and sale , once the marketing and Investment becomes too big to fail. #Brainwashing

It gets really good at that time. I'm on the second disc myself. Unfortunatly, I borrowed the game from my brother who also plays at the time. Need to get it myself.

Why don't I remember this theme? I've played through the game at least twice and this theme has pretty much disappeared from my memory... shame, it's pretty nice. Lost Odyssey is an underrated game, so much better than FFXIII.
@playaeyez17 if only they'd make a lost odyssey 2 or something along those lines (Unless you consider last story).

Agreed though I felt that Lost Odyssey felt more like a book rather than a video game.
yeah iv played some of the final fantasy games on the old ps1 and ps2 and i must say some of them are the best and most deepest games i'v ever played. including lost odyssey.

absolutely amazing game, complimented with an amazing soundtrack. my only qualm would be what a boring villain gongora was. other than that, the characters were amazing. JANSEN FTW!!!

I'm glad you said that, because this piece evokes images of some mysterious path through the woods where the sunlight shining through the trees and birds singing their sweet songs creates a fantasy-like setting where you would expect to find a some holy ascetic guru who'd tell you the secrets of the universe, or a piece of rare materia if you were in the world of Final Fantasy 7.
I was too busy raging because of the insanely hard boss here to notice this great piece of music. Can always use more LO music.

Yes definitely a great song as well, this game is full of them. I was very pleasantly surprised when I played this game a couple months ago. And if you're barely past this part... that basically means you're at the very beginning still! Haha. :P
