I hate how this game is so uncommonly known throughout the world... All anybody else knows about is SOTC because of Pewdiepie! Even know they're both good, ICO's the best. THEY NEED TO HURRY UP AND COME OUT WITH THAT THIRD GAME.

Meh, methinks they're quite amazing as games too. I mean, look at those acrobats climbing their way through whacky castle architecture and huge stone creatures!
People fail to enjoy this game is because they have been treating this game as "a game". ICO and Shadow of Colossus are more than just a game, they are bedtime stories, like fairy tales. They are unique experiences. They are works of art.

Ico is an experience disguised as a game. A monument to what games can acheive.
I remember playing the demo for this on the playstation magazine demo disc and being blown away. I thought that games are getting so awesome just being able to walk around and jump and move the camera the world of video games seemed different. I felt that it showed that the ps2 was an amazing machine. To top it off the game was amazing and different. I hate escort type missions which is what most of this game is but they did it so well it didn't bother me as much.

@VenomousWoe I never felt that the traveling was pointless. It ultimately does serve the purpose of getting to the colossi, without it you would have a series of boss battles with nothing in between. Besides, I always enjoy exploring the worlds that team Ico produces. And I also dug the horse control scheme, particularly the way that it was more like directing than controlling. You may read that as drunken, but I always felt that the horse worked with me, not against me.

@calvinsora101 And SotC has some gameplay flaws as well, summed up in the words, "pointless trekking" and "drunken horse."
I remember watching a trailer of this game with playing this music in the background. When I heared I knew that I have to buy this one.

Though modern sounding, It gives off this sound that makes me associate it with a sleepy Japanese town and people working on the farmland. Very pretty song.

Well, like you said, people have different tastes. I haven't played this game tho :P
It always baffles me when people accuse a universally acclaimed game of sucking. I mean movies I can understand that everyone has diffrent tastes, but except in some very isolated instances most people can agree if a game is good or not since it either has broken gameplay or it does not. I respect someone who said Ico is overrated, but to say it flat-out sucks despite refined gameplay is just stupid. Anyways, I always get shivers when I hear this song.

Lol, For some reason I thought the title said "Castlevania: ICO", And I thought "I've never heard of that Castlevania before". Great music though, It truly deserves be in the Best VGM series.
Awesome. I love Italian folk guitar. I don't know why it hasn't been explored more in games. Same with Spanish guitar.
