Haha, it's been YEARS since I played this, so I can't tell for sure, but I think you may be correct. I remember sometimes the characters would sound really off...
This game had horrid voice acting but I just found it hilarious and it made me play it more because of it ha. Dart sounded like he had two completely different voice actors with some moves.

I love how this game was not-so-subtly trying to cash in on the FFVII craze at the time only to wind up becoming something wonderful and even original to an extent.

I played this game for the first time a couple years ago. I absolutely, positively could not stand the horrific translation and aggravating voice spam during battles. I couldn't even get past the first disc. I hear it gets better in the later discs, but, in my mind, it couldn't possibly be worth it. Awesome song, though!
That part at 0:36 was where the nostalgia hit me. I don't know why that little ascension did it, but it did.

@SaaiXlor if you have trouble with him, play the demo for Legend of Dragoon. They actually let you dragoon in that fight. Its easy mode from there.
I now want to replay this game. Should I play it on the PS1 again for nostalgia or just go cordless with a PS3?

Ahhh.. This game... Such fond memories of me repeatedly missing the "O" part of Volcano and being launched backwards and cussing at the TV. Those where the days :3

I was thinking of it yesterday and this showed up on my recommendations today. By today standards the game would probably get criticized for being too linear. And even back then, the graphics weren't considered the best. But the battles were fun wtih the timing based system that hadn't been used that much. Only bad thing was the button mashy magic that I stopped using after the transformations. Music was some of the best.

I really love legend of dragoons this is one awesome game, one of the best rpg's ever and the story of this game is easily one of the best storylines, yes yes I know its the classic fight between good and evil, there is a chosen one and the evil one and they fight and bla bla, but how the story progress is very well done and it really gets you hooked. I love this one <3

Lavitz was the man! Man I miss this game...Nostalgia right here... If they EVER remake it or anything they need better voice actors. If you heard Meru say "Perky Step!" 80 times (to max it) you'll know what I mean.

Haha yeah my game had like 100+ hours when I beat this game... of course I took my time... and probably fell asleep a few times playing the game. This game was pure awesome spread across four CDs.
There's already a lot of music from this game here, I've looked around, I absolutely LOVED this game. The first in a series of (I think) all the games music: /watch?v=wwGMAPy-jmo Really I would've picked some other music than this, possibly even the opening song - how I love that song...(which leads off that link) lol.
