It's interesting how pretty much the whole soundtrack is made up of 007 main theme remixes, and still it doesn't become annoying. The remixes are actually quite creative.

He scratches his head and continues staring into the oblivion of the bathroom stall door. Your heart beats hard. "Finish the job, James.", you whisper to yourself. *pew* "gak!" *thump*. Tango down. You feel like a bad ass. This was Goldeneye.

I have this game for my 64 but it's impossible to aim because the analog stick on this crappy aftermarket controller that I have has a seizure and the crosshairs go all over the freakin' place! Gah! I wanna play this game so bad... ;_; #HardButtLife

Games seem to worry about eye candy more so then gameplay now days . How I miss the 80's and 90's when you actually had to make a good game not just make it pretty .
You have to shoot the helmet off the guy in the stall, otherwise the Level doesn't count.

I don't understand why people stare at when I'm about to enter a public restroom, and then enter a public stall. I enter very stealthily, like a catwoman. Then I get on top of the toilet with pepper spray, looking at all the vents. If all is clear, I sit and proceed. I thank this game for that, as I will never die while sitting on a toilet. @ministryhellie I think part of the charm with Facility was those locked doors - I remember I would stand there forever looking through the windows and being like "I wanna get over there, but I can't open the door :(".

The FIRST first person shooter game I ever played...EVAAAAR! Remember playing this at my neighbours summer house for 30 min and getting a headache because I was simply not used to the graphics! XD 13 years old when I tried it out...Good times

facility was always one of my favorite stages, it's just so awesome and the bgm is so cool and it really gets you pumped up I love this game, one of the best shooters ever <3

Dr. Doak was expendable... :P The door his keycard was meant for could be opened by firing at it with an unsuppressed gun and making a racket that would attract a guard on the other side. I can't remember if that still goes in Double 0-Agent, but yeah. :) My brother was one of those people who tried to see how many civilian kills he could get away with and still complete the mission. 8<

Yes, it was. But it was not the 'FIRST...FIRST PERSON SHOOTER GAME...EVER!!!!' There were tonnes of FPSs before Goldeneye
Um... no.... There were a tonne of great first person shooters to come before this- Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, among others. In fact, Half Life came out in the same year as Goldeneye, which I would say has been more influential. Still, this is definitely a pinnacle of the genre, and it not only proved that the FPS could work on consoles, but could excell!

The atmosphere of this game is so unique. It remains pretty much the best movie to game port in quality.
This music has such an awesome beat... the beat of my childhood. Though at the time I first heard this many years ago I didn't own Goldeneye, (My loss) when I would always go to my cousins' place and play it, this music left a a mark on me as the one that played in that awesome stage with the bathrooms. Of course, I own Goldeneye now, so that's no problem! :D This deserves to be one of SupraDarky's Best VGMs! GO GOLDENEYE!
Its a perfect fit for a rail shooter, but most Wii FPS's I've played are extremly difficult to move in. Metroid Prime 3 is the only exception.

I agree 100%. Great games always have great soundtracks. Music sets the atmosphere for the game from start to finish. Even in the 8-bit era, certain music tracks at certain points in a game seem like the music is actually willing you to beat difficult areas in the game. MM2's Wily Stage 2 song comes to mind. You rarely get that type of epic feeling in games today, though it does happen in games like Okami and Shadow of the Colossus whose entire OSTs are made of complete & utter win.
