maybe cause it was easy to find this game in 90s, easy to play and 2 player mode that you can help your friend to finish the game (different other good racing games that you just have versus mode with no CPU). Brazil early 90s suffered with insane inflation, so, everything was hard to buy, it was very difficult to get a videogame, and when you had it, rarely you could buy new games, that's why everyone rent it or went to friend's house to play together with them... that's why every huge success game in Brazil, was games that had 2 player coop-mode, that take days and days to beat the game (the reason that you love when your friends come to your house to help you) or has a very very very good replay at versus mode (like Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat II). Single player games wasn't so popular...
there wasn't that many coop games for snes, specially one with much replayable like a racing game

First time I heard this track when playing the game I was like "Oh snap its on now!" This music track really is awesome. Especially the intro. At least for me.
I had to delete this song from car's memory card because of that. I usually drive like I'm transporting boxes of babies but this song turns me into a speed devil.

90% of the succes of this game can be atributed to this song. The first time it called my attention was when I heard this melody and there were some kids playing this... I bought this game later. First you liked the music, then the game... and then played just for the pleasure to hear Mad Racer again and win :)
Oh man... Oh maaaaaaaaaaaan. Nostalgia overload ;^; I remember when my brother and I first got this game way back when. I must have only been 6 or 7 at the time. It was one of the first two player games we had so I was especially excited because that meant I could play with my older brother lol. We would play this and fzero for hours while eating cheerios. Now those days are long gone. We're both adults and he's even a father now. Where has the time gone? T^T

omg, I had no idea I'd ever played this game, but I clearly remember this tune from my childhood.
For some reason, this game always had the loudest volume of any SNES game I've owned. hahah Of course, there's nothing wrong with that :) I cranked up the volume even more coz the soundtrack was so amazing!

Well, just today i played Call Of Juarez. It was a very cool and addictive FPS. You should check it out:) When it comes to RPG's you should try Titan Quest :)

I used to play this game at a friend's house and would also keep it on just for the music.... very cool. My roommate and I are musicians and are in the process of covering some of our favorite video game tunes; we may have to make a small arrangment based off of this.

I think this was the first game I played on my SNES.
Man, its nice how this few bits(not even bytes!) songs were so nice, this songs can easyly be compared with todays top technos or psy. And i still bet they're better, cause, masters are masters and that's how it is.
