Best calssic Sonic game for classic Sonic this is the best people ussualy say Sonic 2 but for me is Sonic 3 and Knuckles the best one the music is so awesome we get hyper forms and Tails even have a Super form and that form rape bosses.

@sonicadv27 Simply put, the tracks that can linked to him and his sound team are the ones that are replaced in S&K Collection, which amounts to ten (Carnival Night 1+2, IceCap 1+2, Launch Base 1+2, Competition Menu, S3 Act 1 Boss, S3 Knuckles' Theme and S3 Staff Roll). Hydrocity being remade in Sonic Generations is ultimate proof that Hydrocity isn't MJ et al.'s b/c they're free to reuse it. I think it's either Scirocco (who did cues for a "Stage 2" theme) or Sachio Ogawa (via The Hybrid Front

@SeanSimX Masayuki Nagao of the Sega Sound Team recently confirmed that this act of Hydrocity was arranged by him. The original composer is still unknown, though.

@bardhi09 Well, that happened on Mega Collection, where i Chemical Plant, Sonic got stuck in the loop (I think on Act 2) due to his insane speed in that level. Unfairly, this also happened in my custom tileset on Sonic 1 way too much, sadly. It makes the Genesis insane when it can't handle a little speed, yet it can in Sonic 3 and 2.
paired with S&K, this was THE best sonic game.
Sonic 2 and Sonic and Knuckles' soundtracks were overall better than that of Sonic 3, but this track is one of the standout ones, and is so catchy!
@Vercalos hydrocity was one of the less sucky ones though. :p

@Camposkpo You aren't getting it at all. I'll repeat my points. Saying a game is overrated is not the same as saying a game is bad - contrary to what you seem to imply. For example, I'd say Halo 3 is overrated. It's still a pretty good game, but not worth the average review score of 94 that it has. Secondly, saying 'It's a good game' and then saying 'It depends on taste' is COMPLETELY self-contradictory. I really shouldn't need to explain myself on that one, so I won't.

@Camposkpo Overrated isn't synonymous with bad or mediocre. It is a good game, but it wouldn't go anywhere near a top 10 list in my eyes. Also, what's the point of saying 'No it's not, it's a good game', if you're then going to say 'It depends on tastes'.

@dragonsword777 yeah, it does show that no one has originallity, but the point is that it doesn't affect the quality of the music itself.
@dragonsword777 just because it's overused doesn't mean it isn't the best. it's not, but there are other reasons why it isn't.
isn't it possible that micheal didn't compose the music, but instead all the sound samples from the game moonwalker were used on this game? correct me if im wrong.
Michael Jackson didn't compose most of his own tracks, certainly not the most famous ones. Moreover, if he did have any involvement (which I don't think he did) with any of the music, he chose not to put his name on the credits; that means he either didn't think much of the result, or was too embarassed by having his name attached to a videogame. Either way, you know what that means? That means he gets no credit.

I wouldn't say no more 3D Sonic games, because there were decent ones, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 always come to mind but, still they had very bad glitches and problems throughout. I loved the running stages in Unleashed, what they need to do is use the same formula for the running stages they did in Unleashed and make a full game out of it with no stupid ass Gimmicks that Sonic Team is so fond of putting in Sonic these days.
NO MORE 3d games for sonic please, 2d side scrolling platforming is where sonic is the best. Mario too, though he made it into 3d without a hitch. Remake these sonic games please, they were so amazing.

Can't really be sure which is which, however the sonic 3 Act Boss theme (during sub-bosses) is clearly a MJ track, however the stage boss themes don't seem to have any MJ influence... I think they tried to remove the MJ tracks from S&K, considering the Act Boss music in S&K isn't an MJ track, however, since S3 and S&K are two parts of one game it doesn't make a difference really.
I request the MJ Eggman/Robotnik boss theme... Please?

Yeah Act 2 is so awesome, but the first part of the act is so hard, it's like you have no time to think, you have to run, or else you drown or get crushed by the approaching wall.

Definitely my favourite tune from the game.
