If you can break the boundary of this game, you might see peoples outside the map that it can be seen at the area behind the warp tiles (other areas). Because this game uses the same method as GTA 3 above to render its world. To break the boundary, follow the step in Son of the Glitch video about Shenmue. It takes place on Dobuita stairs. It's located on the gang next to the You Arcade, near the noodle shop and the playground.

Haven't played it, but with the huge ruckus from the Shenmue 3 reveal, I guess I'm gonna give it a go sometime.

I wonder why is it called Shenmue, when the japanese title says just Shenmū.
Never played this game, but this song makes it sound like this game should've taken way more public notice.
I love this game when I was young and even now. I have Shenmue for dreamcast and shenmue 2 for xbox. Though it was underrated, I believe it to be one of the best game I ever played.
This is the game that turned me into a sega fanboy for life. I eventually grew tired of military FPS, JRPG and sport games but I never gave up on Sonic, Shining Force, Phantasy Star, Jet Grind Radio or any other IP from Sega. It's a damn shame nobody wants to push modern gamers out of their comfort zone. In 2011, it has come down to "Modern Warfare 3 vs Battlefield 3".
One game a hundred yen...
I've only played the second game, but it really capture you'r soul. Its long, epic and surprisingly good. Is like playing a movie.
they stopped making Dino Crisis games, ok... they stopped making Parasite Eve games, ok... but then they announced it for PSP!! well at least the game isn't dead... However, of all the games that needed a sequel, this one was the most obvious... why Sega? What happened? :'(
Sonic... pah.. Don't get me wrong i love sonic, but it loses its appeal when it's 3D, and when it's not 3D and there's games that are 3D... NEED Shenmue 3 :( damn Sega

I went to "Play! A Videogame Symphony" in Toront back in 2006, and that's when I discovered this song. Wow, I was shocked!! It's a marvelous choice SD!

No as I said in the last video, my favorite game ever is Chrono Trigger. :P The Shenmue series is definitely in my top 10 though.
Shenmue! A series that never really got to be as great as it should have been. GTA can eat it's hart out. This is the best sandbox game ever! Now...if only Sega wouldn't have pulled the plug on the series. What is with Sega taking great series and killing them all the while destroying their mascot?

One of my favorite series of all time, and probably the most absorbing I've ever played. BTW, I'm currently building up the 2nd part of the playlist that starts at VGM #201.
