I searched high and low for this game ever since I played it with my friend when I was 8, I finally found a copy on amazon, I now own dark cloud and dark chronicle, both my most treasured games :,)

While I still find Dark Cloud 1 to be better (more mature imo). This game was still awesome. I hated it at first because I thought this was suppose to be a legit sequel to DC. Then I found out it was called Dark Cloud Chronicles in Japan. Really made me change my opinion on it.
I remember I played this as a kid and I found it hard as balls. Don't know if I would find it as hard now.
I am very sad that they never made a 3rd one. I know Rogue Galaxy was supposed to be "spiritual successor", but I missed the town building parts of the game as well.

This was a worthy rival to Final fantasy games on ps2, this game is tough, but it's one of my favorite games ever
i just started playing this, bit skeptical at first when my friends hyped up how much better it was than the Dark Cloud 1, but oh my god... this game is incredible

It was originaly named dark chronicle, but in usa and other countries had a game called dark chronicle, copyright kicked in so they replaced it with dark cloud
its called "dark cloud" ? in switzerland and germany called Dark Chronicle

oh, man you have to get on top of the huge flower you plant in the pond, but wow man, this game is incredible, the storyline gets to the best parts after rainbow butterfly wood!!! Play through it and see!!

Mogeldin, in case you haven't noticed, the first Dark Cloud game was based on Zelda.
I love the battle theme in this, even though it's like a 40 second loop.

I like the music in this game. I couldn't get into it though. Randomly got stuck in the second series of worlds. Couldn't make the butterfly boss come up.

This game had one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. This is not my favorite one, but it does represent well the mood and pace of the game.

This particular track is kinda low toned compared to the game, I was playing it the other day, definitely has a higher pitch. I like the battle theme so much more than this theme though. :P
