I love this song yall remember the song that would play in Kyo? That town didn't have much to do unless you were Red but I swear I would go there and leave it on the map screen for like 30 mins to hear that theme.
I really miss sprites.. Sigh I just have a tough time getting into the newer RPGS I dont know if its because Ive changed over time or if its because theyve changed so much

The graphics are enough to make one have to play this game. A lot of the places in this game are beautiful to look at and the music is catchy. The story is fine it has a somewhat tough battle system though, hopefully you're up for a good challenge.
At first i thought this game was trash, but after i really got into everyone's story this game became great!
I've always been afraid to start this game up due to all the backlash I've read about it over the years. I know for a fact that I'd be into the music and graphics, but my dislike for non-linear gameplay is my worry.. (Not against non-linear 'chapters' of a largely linear game, but i really don't get the point of a game being non-linear for the majority of its progression. Usually leads to a weak plot, lacking emotional drive.)
i have to agree.... of the Saga games, 2 is the best....with (here comes the Flamez) UNLIMITED Saga on its heels.

One of the most unique RPGs Ive ever played, had an interesting but memorable soundtrack. This track was one of the best in the game, always seemed like you were safe hearing this song...
Read "Saga Frontier" and had no idea what I was gonna' hear. And then the music came on, and I remembered it all - put one of those creepy, 'where'd that come from' smiles on my face. This game was something else.

I remember having a trailer on this game on my demo disc. It looked really awesome. I didn't get the chance to play it yet.
Love the music in this game, escpecially the battle themes. ADORE the Saga Frontier 2's music.

Gotta agree...I hated the game when I was 14...played it again recently and, yup, still sucks. Graphics were intesting and music was good, but ya know, lipstick on a pig
Crazy, I didn't play it all that long so maybe I should give it a shot someday. I rented it back in the day, got bored fast and went back to FFT.

I never owned this game, mostly because it garnered such mediocre reviews from pretty much every game site that I visited at the time. The music is still nice though. I have the PSF files for it. I own the 2nd game and I absolutely love the music in that one. Actually, the composer for the sequel is now Square Enix's lead composer and is working on scoring Final Fantasy XII: Masashi Hamauzu.
Almost every SaGa game and Yoko taro game were bad reviewed back in the time (until they suddenly got somekind of cult status and now every critic say they loved those games) Frontier us actually one of the very best in the series (my favorite)
you probably should have focused on the more linear ones like red Gah, now i want to play this game too bad my disk died a few years ago

I was confused with this game as a kid, but I still have good memories of it. I got the furthest in that purple blooded girl's story (never beat it though).
