If you guys love this song I really reccommend the whole of Serani Poji's discography. I love "My sweet, marshmallow (gentle whisper)", its on youtube and it's the song that made me a fan!

From what I've gathered online, this game is a life sim about a depressed Japanese hikikomori. You play as God and it's your goal to turn his life around. Apparently he joined a band and became super famous, but somebody started spreading rumors about him and his life went down the drain. One scene shows a news station reporting on a (very likely fake) rumor about his father abusing him as a child. The next day, one of the protagonist's fans decides to stab his father and he later dies in the hospital. According to Giant Bomb, this game's story was also written by Tomoko Sasaki, the composer of this track. She cited an interest in watching people through webcams as her source of inspiration.

This is so Bossa Nova inspired it hurts, especially a lot of the vocal melodies and rhythms. I still have to wrap my brain around this being in English. Very, very accented English, like someone singing in a language they are not fluent in (most likely case) but still English lol. I think that's why there is such an unexplainable charm about it. It's familiar, yet unfamiliar at the same time. It's an odd sensation.

What is that boxart? What is the game about? Why does it have good music? Also, if you haven't already, No One Can Stop Mr. Domino has som good music in my opinion. (Particularly the park stage.)

Pure gold. Bossa Nova is a brazilian genre but japanese just love it so much - here sadly it faded away and nobody cares. I saw many documentaries about bossa nova in Japan.

The sequel to our favorite Dreamcast boxart, and our protagonist is probably crying at how good the soundtrack of his two games are. I did some research on Serani Poji and it's actually a group composed of Tomoko Sasaki (composer for Ristar and the NiGHTS series) and vocalist Yumi Higashino. Honestly, this track is up there with my favorite bossa nova songs. Truly a feel-good group. Oh and I challenge you to listen to this song for a few minutes before reading this next part... ... It's actually in English and I posted the lyrics in the description.

Didn't this Tomoki Sasaki also remix Ashley's Song in Super Smash Bros.? Way back in Brawl? I think she also helped with the "Ai no Uta" and "Tane no Uta" songs from the Pikmin series (which are mysteriously missing SINCE Brawl actually)

yep! the music is composed and written by tomoko sasaki, with vocalists changing every few albums; manamoon's vocals were done by yukichi, then yumi higashino took over vocals starting with one-room survival. in their latest album merry go round jailhouse, tomoko herself does the vocals! all of them are amazing <3 i can only hope they come back soon but it seems tomoko is busy with a family-run business and producing other music for franchises such as idolmaster!
