Another Waterworld track, another chill Dean Evans track. This will always be one of my favorite SNES soundtracks and at this point, the only frustration is thinking what could have been if he had composed for great games instead. But hey, let's just enjoy these smooth sounds we do have.

I wonder if composers like Dean Evans, Jonathan Dunn, Naoki Kodaka, Harumi Fujita, Jeroen Tel, Alberto Jose González, etc will ever come back to compose for indie games someday? That would be awesome. :D

@Creepsington it was the biggest movie loss in four years on end. I think it took that final fantasy movie to beat the record, but I'm not sure xD (movie isn't even that bad actually)

The Waterworld soundtrack is quite unique and soothing. Still, the tracks always make me feel somehow uneasy when I listen to them, almost anxious. It is this strange combination of nostalgia from music from te 90's, post-apoc. scenarios, instruments, somehow mashed together to create this good, but quite strange soundtrack.

Every time I see something about Waterworld I always remember how funny it is that it was the only movie licensed game on Virtual Boy. A movie about a world covered in water, on a console that can only display red and black. God bless the Virtual Boy.

And both of them were colossal flops for people who were not used to those (Kevin Costner and Nintendo). It really was a match made in heaven. Maybe.
