While the first gen will always be my favorite, I'll never forget playing this game either. The moment I realised they had actually thrown in the Kanto region from the first gen after clearing Johto was mind blowing. It reminded me when I played Dragon Quest III for the first time and could revisit Alefgard from the first game.

Dragon Warrior 2 also had Alefgard and the music for it! It is a special moment when you recognize it.

I think you might have made a mistake in the description... I don't know if it was intentional or not, but No. 2352 is not Gold/Silver, but Heartgold/Soulsilver... Just wanted to let you know...

I haven’t revisited Gen 2 in so long - I forgot how detailed the music was! The stereo effect is so strong in G/S/C’s music!

The real surprise is that this song isn't already on this list. It's universally regarded as one of the best Pokemon tracks (I don't think it's the best of the best of the franchise, but it's probably the best track from Gold and Silver and very good).

I got to open Gold and Silver the night of Christmas the year they came out. One of the best Christmas memories i have is staying up all night playing the game wondering if I'd see santa LOL

Wow, I've never had nostalgia hit me quite this hard! I loved this song. I remember getting my gameboy advance with this (still one of my favourite systems!) :D

Oh, I love this song. It's my favourite from GSC and definitely top 3 amongst all games. There's something so peaceful and homely about it, and it's beautifully simplistic. It also packs an enormous nostalgic wallop for me, concidering this was my first Pokemon generation. Excellent choice Supra!

What a pleasant surprise! This has always been one of my favourite themes from the older games, it does the "peaceful town at sunset" vibe really well. Really great to listen to when I'm feeling nostalgic.
