A truly great composition from Sugiyama. My favorite game in one of my favorite series, Dragon Quest is the true definition of comfort food games for me. I'm patiently waiting for the Switch version of DQ11 which seems filled with nice updates. I've heard great things!

I agree! Usually, people do not mention this one when talking about DQ games, which is really a shame, since it is very unique.

Hi Supradarky! I was wondering if you would be interested in checking out Mages of Mystralia's soundtrack, in particular the Sky Temple. I feel like you would love that soundtrack, especially the Sky Temple theme. It's one of my favorites from the game and maybe might be one of my favorite music tracks in a game period. The thing is that they wanted a cartoonish artstyle that was iconic and for Japan what better option then Akira Toriyama? Its not very uncommon to bring in manga artist to design characters in a video game.

I hope I get the chance to play DQV one day. I've only played IX and XI, and IX is already my favorite game of all time. I'm excited to see how V compares. I've heard good things.

Urk! I've only played the PS2 version (with orchestra) and this version sounds... well, different haha. V has perhaps my favorite DQ soundtrack.

Yeah this game was great. I ate up the SFC version and happily played through the PS2 version. An all time favorite Dragon Quest of mine too.

I love both V and VIII equally and although VIII has the best OST (in my opinion) V has the best party chat by far!

My favorite of the series and one of my favorite games of all time. As a person that is soley about finding a wife and having children in life, this game is for me. Adventures as a kid with a strong father, then as most games would go, you grow up to become the hero. This game however has you find a wife, have kids, then your kids are the ones who are the real heroes. Family and adventure. I love it!

On a different note, I will be taking the longest vacation yet as I'm going to Thailand and Laos for 3 weeks. It's my first time going to Asia so I'm excited! I will see you all again when I return, I'm planning a new Top ranking in the 2300s.

The way you communicate with subscribers through the comments is unique. I've never seen a youtuber communicate through the comments instead through the video
