Purely peaceful to listen to. I just love it :).
Trust me, the DS version is probably one of the best remakes I have ever played. It improves on the experience in every possible way. I think the single greatest addition is that they added in Party Chat. It adds a WHOLE new layer to the experience.

My favorite Dragon Quest and its music is perfection.
It definitely gives off a grandiose sensation of magic and fantasy. But frankly, I prefer Wind Waker's "Ocean" theme.

Koichi Sugiyama may be the greatest video game composer. I love many DQ games and the soundtrack is always fantastic.It gives you this feeling of discovering a new places each second of your travel,it permits you to fully immerge yourself in a vibrant world.
One of the many amazing pieces written by Sugiyama. My personal favorite sailing theme from the series is Ocean Waves from DQVI, but The Ocean is certainly quite the song as well. It really gives that sense of wonder as you travel across the ocean blue, encouraging you to see what sort of new and unexplored lands await within the world of DQV.
Colony wars red sun awesome soundtrack. Look it up.

DQ7 came pretty close when I finished it a couple months ago, but this is still my favorite game in the series. Magical music from Sugiyama as always, which is for me half the series' charm. I'll be playing the DS version very soon, I expect it to be awesome since I loved the DS version of DQ4!
