Beautiful. The entire Zelda series has really great music for each of its little villages. Seriously--when first playing this game, not only was it what I hoped LoZ would be in terms of visuals & gameplay (enormous environments, differing architecture for each place, and a penchant for nature), but the background music itself is absolutely astounding.

Every time I hear music from this game I'm like _"There was music in this game???"_ All I hear in my head when thinking of it is random Piano notes and (fantastic) ambience sounds.

that's only the few random ambient tracks that play throughout most of the overworld outside of towns and dungeons that suck tremendously, the tracks for specific locations are mostly all great, much like previous games, and the Molduga theme is just pure awesome

I think BotW is my favorite Zelda OST, others have some absolute classics but I love the way this OST matches the pace of this game overall.

Hawelo92 50 hours in and I just beat the game, and I’m just now listening to this song. Such a big game, so many great and important things that you can just miss if you’re not paying attention. I really love this game. Time to go back to my last save then.

Another NPC talks about it, saying their hometown is a fishing village. It got my hopes up the game was going to have rod fishing :/

Me too. I even got the master sword after 100 hours in... I enjoyed exploring the world thoroughly. BOTW is the only game I have played for months (6+ months, avg 2 hours daily)

I'll be posting my Top 15 GOTY 2018 in February as I still want to finish a couple games. Yes, Top 15 this time because I liked too many games to only list and talk about 10 of them, so I do what I do best when I'm stuck in a situation: I create my own rules. There was something about this village, arguably the least important one in the game as it's completely optional. Somehow, it's the village that surprised me the most upon discovering it as I was just minding my own business along the coast and beaches. It was like stumbling upon that small and peaceful fishing resort, all with its own relaxing theme. This game was full of those joyful moments, it's truly special.
