While it's often regarded as the black sheep of the DKC trilogy, I truly have fond memories of this game. The mountains/pines/lake setting was very well realised, Rare really did a good job in trying to set it apart from the first two games. While it's hard to beat David Wise's masterpieces, I do think Eveline Fischer had a unique composition style that helped shape this game (and part of the first DKC). I still think Rockface Rumble (#532) has some of the best percussions on the SNES.

3 is a super solid game. Yeah, the art style change was a mistake, but the gameplay is still good and varied. 2 >> 1 ~ 3
First game I actually completed 100%, took me literal years to do! I really love this game! Especially the clear way they divided bonus barrels (one in the first half, and one in the second.) And the unique level gimmicks :D
I still remember when you uploaded Rockface Rumble :/ It has been quite a while
This one of the most adventurous songs in the game yet still manages to scare you a little.

DKC2 is the best for me, but I like 3 better the first one.

I'm always surprised how split the opinion is on the SNES DKC games. I love the gameplay as well as the graphics, but you have plenty of people that have a strong aversion to the games.
Black sheep? This game was amazing! The problem it had was that little under a year before the legendary DKC2 released.
I LOVE DKC3 and still don't understand the "black sheep" treatment it gets. Its just unfair.
No Donkey or Diddy, people found Kiddy annoying, and the art style change was a pretty dramatic decision in the presentation of the game.
its the 8/10 in a game series with a 10 and an 11 so i kinda get it, but it should still be celebrated as a great platformer.

DKC3>DKCR>DKC1>DKC2 you fanboys should start giving love to the actual best title of the series and stop thinking about DKC2 as the holy grail, just because it has a theme park in it.
The fact that we have Dixie & Kiddy Kong as a spirit in Smash fills me with happiness.

DKC 3 is my favorite~
I did like the setting for this game. It was a really great take on a North American frontier in my opinion, and the soundtrack definitely added to it.
Even though I thought the soundtrack was the weakest of the SNES trilogy, and the GBA version was a 90% improvement, there are still tracks I like both versions of; this being among them.
I just love all three of them. Especially liked the item swap mechanism in this DKC title.

This game always seemed the darkest of the DKC games to me, for the music and atmosphere on SNES. Creepy. The GBA version did away with that completely but also had its own great new compositions by David Wise, so I can’t really decide which version I prefer.
I still love the fact that Rare made a nod to Super Mario 64 by making Inside the Castle Walls in 16-bit for this game.
Never got to play this game, but I love this.
