I decided to upgrade my PC so I was busy with that during the past couple days. I just finally transfered all my files and re-installed most of the apps I need, and why not start testing things by making a new upload! 2018 is the year of the Metroidvanias, so many of them came out and most are very solid. I can never have too many of them so I'm glad. SOTN still feels like the king of the genre (which to me is different than Metroid-likes), even if Hollow Knight is now my favorite one. Yamane's soundtrack is still one of the best ever and that certainly won't change.

What's the difference between Metroidvania and Metroid-like according to you? I hate the term Metroidvania, and I simply called them Metroid-style games.

I have always loved and enjoyed Castlevania music, and listening to SotN I always realize how superb it is. However, when I'm in the mood and look for a track on youtube or my personal collection, I never pick any of these. No idea why...

He might have collected CDs of the soundtracks, and then ripped them to FLAC quality to his computer. Or maybe he just ripped the tracks straight from the game files.
