I'll never forget playing this game on the GBA. The graphics and audio quality were a big step above the competition, the whole package was mighty impressive really. I really wish Nintendo was more ambitious with this beloved series as I feel like they're basing the series' potential on the disappointing sales of Dark Dawn, which felt like the safest sequel ever. Golden Sun for the Switch... do it!

SupraDarky both Golden Suns have a really good soundtrack and this was one of the best tracks. They should put the first two games on the Switch as a sort of collection that has the password feature removed so you can transfer data easier

I loved the first two Golden Sun games. Dark Dawn felt weak and was very disappointing. I'd love more Golden Sun, but... y'know... good.

Right along with Suikoden 2 I really appreciate this series. There are few RPG's that have my devoted time and patience. I wish this series a warm welcome for any new or seasoned gamer.

I felt Dark Dawn's problem is they clearly set up one plot only to decide: "Nah, we're going to do this plot instead." (seriously would have loved to see grown-up Jenna, though.)

@EvilMariobot A fetch quest turned story. Throw in the multiple points of no return. And puzzles that were easier and held your hand throughout...And you get a pretty meh third game!

I took a chance on GoldenSun after reading many reviews. And I’m glad I did because the two GBA releases are flawless!

I would consider buying another Switch if a new Golden Sun were developed for it just to show support. The two GS for GBA are amazing jrpgs!

This sound track has such a pleasant effect!!!! I remember pausing the game just to keep listening this music.... It always felt like as if I'm floating in heaven!!! This game could have given Final Fantasy a tough challenge if they released some more games...... At least they should re make the GS 1 and GS 2 with better graphics. This game deserves it.

i get that many dont like Golden Sun, for me its a special classic RPG. Remember that i got his the same day i was gonna see the first Lord of the Rings movie in the Cinema. Good ol days I liked Dark Dawn, safe yes, but i personally enjoyed it alot. Feels bad though that Camelot is forever stuck making Mario Sports titles. Without RPG elements.

... That's funny, just last week I was watching retrospectives, analysis, reviews... of the whole series. This really does need to get another game, on the Switch preferably.

Good times. They'd really have to develop past the old formula if they were to make a fourth game (Dark Dawn fell a bit short), but I'd welcome it if only for the great aesthetic.

I remember when I first got my hands on golden sun as a kid at a flea market in Switzerland. The game was so enamouring I loved it. The soundtrack of the first two games was amazing this theme and also the Lemuria theme.

This (and its part 2.. Its actually one big game) are easily the best games for the GBA, by far the best handheld RPGs, and even some of the best games ever made.. If you never played these: Do yourself a favor and play them.
