I had bought this game on whim one day when I was on the computer. I think I had gotten it on eb games when it was still a thing in the US. Omg I was so hooked, got the GameCube version which I heard the dreamcast was crazy annoying with the high encounter rate. Pirates music, and the base ? God I love this game

I bought for £10 in a charity shop. I wasn't even going in there for that game. I was in there for Zone of the Enders and I just saw it. Best £10 I ever spent.

@fatty416 A lot like Rogue Galaxy you say? Well then, let's see... On the gamecube/dreamcast... I loved Rogue Galaxy (God Illusion Sword was so overpowered) and have heard a lot of good things about this game, being a gamer who loves old games, I'm gonna have to see if I can get this.
i remember this game for the dreamcast...i never got to play it because i had just traded my dreamcast for a PS2....

@TheXbox360nintendo Overworks lives! They merged with Wow Entertainment ( formerly Sega AM1). They released a game that absolutely runs in the same vein as Skies a few years ago. It's called Valkyria Chronicles, and it's for the PS3. A very, very AMAZING JRPG/strategy game. Look it up! Actually, the three main characters of Skies of Arcadia make guest appearances as playable characters~
@masterplusmargarita PLAY. THIS. GAME. Now, this is just my humble opinion here. But to me, this is the only RPG that could ever compete with Chrono Trigger when it comes to truly heart-felt and wonderfully up-lifting adventure. It's one of the 5th best JRPGs of all time, and there's no comparison to any other on the list, really. You can tell the game was made by a woman, unlike the macho Final Fantasies and inbred Tales games. It's worth the hassle.
Doesn't anyone agree that this is like Wind Waker and Skyloft combined?
Really wanna play this game, but I never owned a Dreamcast, and have JUST discovered it was on Gamecube.

An underrated town theme.. One of those that make you stay in a town, talk to every NPC twice, and press the action button on every nook and crook in everyone's house just to make sure you hear the song repeat a few times. Really like the transition at 1:11.

You made the right choice, I can't say my opinions are the same as they were when I firsted played this great game, but back then, it was only Skies of Arcadia, Sonic Adventures, and Pokemon to be honest.....and that's a good thing.
