I knew I was doing bad if the entire song finished in the first 2 laps of Sunset Valley (before the sped up version started in lap 3).
While the graphics might not have been amazing I really enjoyed this game back in the days because of it's wacky kinds of physics, with the wheels of the vehicles not really being attached and the bouncy suspension. Sometimes the game just became about making the weirdest crashes.
Supra you always remind me of some games I've completely forgot about! Damn, can't believe how long it's been since I played this.
Feels like it could be in a Space shooter game no problem.

I always overlooked this game because the cover looked average at best to me. It's got pretty good music considering that cover. That plus, i was not a lot into racing back then.

This game is average at its very best. The cover looks better than the game really is. That's not to say I didn't try to play it for 1/2 hr or so when I was at Toys R' US or wherever but it's not really worth anyone's time anymore. Hey I didn't love everything as kid though I always felt like I was a easy critic even now.
notyoursavior78 you are right on that. But I still have fond memories of the game from my youth.
It was a good game if you wanted a challenge--the controls took a lot of getting used to but it was possible to get pretty good at it. It was different but I enjoyed it.
Oh man, it's been like forever since I played this game. A bit of nostalgia with the music.
This was the 2nd game to use the Super FX after Star Fox. One of those rare games that had reviews ranging from bad to 90+%, but I was in the camp of those who liked it. I still find the graphics impressive, as well as small details like the sound of the engine having reverb when you pass through a tunnel. I rented it countless times to the point where I should have simply bought it. This theme's intro with the fast bass and drums always reminded me of F-Zero.
SupraDarky I had the game too, and i agree with you. I miss this game and I miss my SNES. I spent so many hours in this game.
I loved game despite running at like 15 fps. Too bad they never made a sequel on the N64.
Gobblox yeah. I would have loved to play that.
Yeah I am someone who can't tell the difference b/t 30 and 60 FPS but when you start dipping into the low 20s or worse I can tell this is probably not a good game (even back then). Heck when I played Red Alarm on the Virtual Boy at Hills I was too innocent to say "this sucks" but I left that thinking wow, that wasn't enjoyable at all. Why would anyone spend money on that.
notyoursavior78 I agree with you there. But I never had to experience the Virtual Boy, so you could say I am lucky on that.
Hehehe I'm only 36 but I feel old (for a multitude of reasons). Gunpei Yokoi seems like a cool guy, but the Virtual Boy was not good except for a few games. Sorry for being negative here some, but not everything is great :P
notyoursavior78 you're right lol. I'm not as old as you and in fact I am turning 24 in June, but I have had my share of bad games too.
Congrats on turning 24 in June (soon)! My 20s were still awesome enough. I don't have a whole lot else to type other than just rambles, but I wish ya the best.
This title is definitely one of the cheaper SNES games these days. lol
