This game's director teased an announcement related to Opoona in his tweet celebrating the game's 10th (!!!) anniversary. It's been a couple months now and nothing since, but I really hope something materializes. Opoona is easily one of my favorite Wii games, and one of my favorite game soundtracks.
I saw that tweet as well. The same person ( Sachiko Sugimura ) tweeted a couple of weeks ago that it takes a little longer than they expected to give us this "wonderful announcement". I'm having high hopes for it since not only did Sachiko Sugimura change to a profile picture with her dressed as opoona, but she even tweeted about new opoona merchandise. By the way nice choice! This track is a blast!

Unfortunately, no, I think the best we could get is a Switch Port, or a remake, but not a sequel.

Actually I just had a look, and Sachiko Sugimura just retweeted the post supra was talking about. Also, an official opoona twitter opened in 2018, and that account made some new tweets just recently as well. Here's hoping that this time around a wonderful announcement will indeed happen soon. Can anyone recommend any other songs like this? I went and listened to the OST and nothing came close to this, so I was a little disappointed.

Thanks to you I was introduced to this amazing soundtrack in the past! Thinking today I would say that Opoona's OST is like what DKC 2's OST was for SNES.. Pure. Magical. Atmospheric. Bliss.
