Ahhh, Soule's magical music. This instantly makes me want to play Oblivion and get lost into its world. What I wouldn't give for a complete remake! I still remember my PC overheating while trying to run this game with High settings.

SupraDarky I still remember MY PC overheating from drowning the Imperial City in Sweetrolls. Good days.
One of my favorite moments in gaming came right after exiting the tutorial dungeon and having the whole of the bright, beautiful world laid out in front of you to explore. Then the peaceful, swelling strings backed up by the woodwinds and horns add that magical touch. I felt transported. Despite some of its flaws (leveling system, uncanny valley facial animations, seemingly only 5 voice actors) it remains one of my favorite gaming memories. I haven't gone back to it after finishing all the storylines and DLC, but perhaps I should, to see if the magic is still there.
Not sure if unpopular opinion, but ES4: Oblivion was my least favourite ES

I wish I could play Oblivion more, but the voice acting and face models completely ruined the game for me. Which is a shame, because this music is absolutely beautiful.

This brings back memories.
I prefered Oblivion for some reason over Skyrim. Memorible NPC, Locataions, etc. While with Skyrim eveything felt the same, tohu not even palyed far, lost interesst unlike in Oblivion i still played after, Skyrim was this like, "look how awesome i am i kill not just one dragon but several". Felt for me, to overpowered in its own good. For me Skyrim was to big for its own good, sure in Oblviion i also did only everything else besides the Main Story but with Skyrim i somewhat notfelt talking to NPC's or do anytihng else then explore certain caves or dungeons that seemed for me even more copy pasted then in Oblivion. On top Skyrim was for me also somewhat to full of itself, it is defintly a good game but, overhyped i say and to mayn versions by now on top, how often do tehy want to re-realse it on other platforms anyway?

This song brings back so many memories from when I first played the game and I would hear this theme going to the towns after a relief of exploring dungeons and bringing back so much loot to sell for money oblivion was quite the adventure indeed!
The overworld is so peaceful and then the planes of Oblivion are there to contrast that. I love Skyrim but I missed the contrast between the different zones. They weren't as big as the ones in Oblivion.
