5. Of course I praise the sun. It is the reason why plants produce oxygen and without that, we couldn't live. I never played a game of this series, I should probably change that.
I wouldn’t expect Bloodborne claiming the title of a true entry in the series but... Bloodborne is the most commendable in my opinion
Dark Souls, huh? Yeah, it's alright, the movement's kind of clunky and slippery and it occasionally expects you to do some tricky platforming, plus the magic in these games is kind of flaccid unlike in Dark Messiah of Might and Magic or Dragon's Dogma, and the invincibility frames you get from dodge-rolling and the attacks that take your enemy an eternity to telegraph makes the game too easy and kind of boring. From Software makes good games, though, I really liked Lost Kingdoms and Echo Night.
Scrunchy Howard Magic is not the only thing in the game ^^
DS1, The bosses and areas being as connected as they are and the cast of characters are the best of the series. Anor Londo is a visual spectacle, never have I seen something so gorgeous and yet feel as barren and deserted as it is. Ornstein and Smough have a save file specifically so I might go fight them at any point I choose Never had a chance to play Bloodborne, I liked the ideas people talked about I actually hail to the Harvest of Onion Bros tyvm.

Dark Souls Irithyl of the Boreal Valley Four Kings/Artorias I prefer Dark Souls 3 to Bloodborne personally, but Bloodborne is definitely my second favorite in the series. I am a sunbro.
Personally, I feel like the Dark Souls series is overrated. I have played the first one and started the second one, but I stopped playing because I realized I never really liked them. The worst aspect for me in these games is the lack of soundtrack. Many people say that they have amazing atmosphere, but I would beg to differ. Dark Souls only builds atmosphere without any music and with sound effects instead. This is fine as long as you do not do it all the time. Anyway, this is just my opinions.

Excellent choice this time, SD. 1. Dark Souls. I think the later games did make some improvements, but DS still has the perfect combination of what I love about the series. 2. Anor Londo 3. Probably one of Artorias, Gehrman, or Gael. 4. Bloodborne is amazing, but I prefer Dark Souls overall. 5. Of course.

1 Dark Souls 1, the interconnected world, the beautiful level design, it is still my favorite souls game. 2. Kiln of the first flame. It was the last area of DS1 and what a way to end off. The kiln that holds the first flame is reduced to this pile of ash with a weak little flame burning in the center. You finally meet the legendary Gwyn. He has gotten weak, so weak he does not even compare to many of the challenges you faced to get to him. When you kill him you're faced with 2 options and the game ends. Nothing short of beautiful story telling through visuals. 3. Its a tie between Knight Artorias and Lady Maria of the Astral Clock Tower (Bloodborne) I'm going to go with Maria because I've talked about DS1 too much. Lady Maria is a very fast paced fight. There isn't a second when you aren't on you toes. Throughout her fight her moveset doesn't change a whole lot. She only gets a little more damage and range. Meaning you can keep the same strategies for getting around her without much adjustment.Don't take that to mean she's easy though. She can destroy you if you screw up. Overall a very fun boss. 4. Bloodborne is my 2nd favorite Soulsborne game. Coll environments and weapons with a combat system that encourages aggression. A cool game that's worth a try. 5. Hell yeah! Sunbros for life!
1) DS1, absolutely the best, DS3 is not that good thought the second one is praticlly at the same level 2) probably Petit Londo, there are something about it... all the area in DS1 are awesome because of what rapresent and what where in the past, the mistery behind what happened, the gratness behind the ruin, that's what make it all exeptionally great 3) probally Quelaag, she's perfect in so many way; all the attack have it's own patern and you can predict what she's doing but It's difficult to tell what's she's doing next, once you learn how to beat her you learn how to play against all bosses 4)Blodborne is someting peculiar, I think that is the Demon Souls of a new series of games, for me It's the second to Dark Souls, tied again with Demon souls 5) everyday bro, everyday

Bloodborne has this gore vibe that overshadows the feeling of constant and genuine discover of the fantasy world we're used to. 1) Original Dark Souls is still my favorite. 2) Anor Londo is my favorite. Gorgeous view and lots of breathing room to take it all in, not to mention the secret behind it all, love it! 3) Ornstein and Smough of course. They are also the most enfuriating bosses to fight if you can't hack it, but that just makes it all the sweeter when you do beat them. 4) Bloodborne has the best gameplay of the Soulsborne games. Really fast and promotes high risk, high reward playstyles. People say it's the easiest of the series, I feel like it's the hardest. 5) \[T]/
1. DaS 2. Anor Londo. The first time I set foot there I spun the camera around so many times because the size and design is so good 3. The Ancient Dragon. Never have I felt so relieved to have beaten any other boss in any other game, and he's optional 4. In some ways I do prefer BB because of the inability to be (traditionally) defensive. Sword and board is fine but dashing in and rallying your blood back is exhilarating. Fear the old blood tho 5. 420 PRAISE IT ALL YEAR LONG

1) It's a toss up between the first Dark Souls, and the third. The first edges out slightly in world, as it felt like there was a bit more to discover; it could set up a whole world that DS3 had to fit itself into. But 3 is more polished in terms of gameplay I think. 2) Probably that first Firelink Shrine. If I could, I would sit on that cliffedge, starring out at the land while feeling the wind on my face for hours. 3) You haven't played the game yet so no spoilers. Instead, I'll call out Gwyn as my second favourite. Sif was heartwrenching, and Ornstein and Smough were a great fight, but Gwyn was both. Great video! I did own a Ps3 for some time and bought Demon Souls. It really was challenging and instigating, and reminded me of the Berserk series. I didn't go too far since it was haaard and it felt so punishing at times. Unfortunately I sold my Ps3 with all my games which now seems like a dumb decision. Later I played a little of a Souls game on the Pc without a joystick and that's it, I find it great that you played and liked it so much, cause I could hear its soundtrack thanks to you. To another 100!!!
DS3 was not really better than DS2 for me. :/

1. Demons Souls is my favorite with Bloodborne coming close. It wins because it triggers my imagination best out of all the games. 2. The Tower of Latria because it was the first area that freaked me out lol. 3. My favorite boss is from BB. 4. Why not both? *mexican music* 5. I used too but now I make contact.
It all started with Demon Souls. It was a From Software game that made me a complete fan of their company. This in turn lead me to play other games they created over the years. What a fantastic studio and they have my support of what they do next.
I have no plans on playing the Souls games, since I do not play many difficult games. However, I can assure that the music from Sakuraba is pure genius. When I started doing video game music blogs back in 2012, I had Dark Souls as one of my top 5 soundtracks I had ever listened to. It's no longer in my top 5, but I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. Congrats on 2100 Gabe and here's to the next 100.
I love Soulsborne. I wish there were more things like them with such deep interesting lore and atmostphere. I played Dark Souls first and gave up because I went the wrong way(I didn't notice the stairs so I went to the tomb and old londo lol). I gave Demons Souls a try because of the art book and fell in love, went back to Dark and fell in love. Then discovered lore videos and I was even more hooked.
This is a wonderful series from everything I've seen about it, but I get intimidated every time I try to get into the first game. I feel like I don't want to invest all the time needed to fully understand its seemingly deep mechanics (may be simpler than I'm imagining) and I feel like all the lore would just go over my head so I'll just... watch from afar.
Hawelo92 I promise you the mechanics are simpler than most indie titles. Dodge your enemies with Invinciblity frames, hit them with the stick. Be careful but proactive when exploring, don't be passive. That's it! You win the game. Don't let the pretentiousness of the community get to you^^
Blue Radon What he said. After you adjust to the control scheme I think you'll find it's actually a lot more accessible than literally everyone says. Hit things, block things, drink sunny d. You'll love it.
What's wonderful is that this game is "difficult", but you can use certain tactics to ultimately beat anything if needed. Magic and Pyromancy is your friend here if you invest in them. If not that, then grab a big stick and an even bigger shield and turtle like you've never turtled before!
I can't answer anything this time only because I'm not quite as into the gameplay on these. I'd probably be kinder except the nonstop praise and refusal to accept problems from some kind of turned me off the series. With that said though, I was able to jump into Bloodborne due to that one not having a massive backing at the floodgates(though it didn't take long)and I had an absolute blast. It might also be that Souls is more about slow, methodical combat, Bloodborne is high speed aggression and getting up in everyone's face which is how I like to play games(though yes in most games this gets me killed a lot...shooters especially, it's not a good idea to run face first into your opponents though kamikaze style can terrify people if they don't kill you right away). I'm also probably different from most gamers in that I don't care for difficulty for difficulties' sake. I usually enjoy games for story(not lore, there is a difference)and I know the argument is to go read a book but one is reading about an adventure while the other is being involved in the adventure you ARE the adventure. But I can't experience that if the game is more interested in kicking me between the legs repeatedly. These are games mainly made for those who like atmosphere(I do love their atmosphere)and hardcore gameplay(used to be into this but as I get older and want my games to be more relaxing this aspect turns me off). With all that said, I do recognize it's simply a case of these games are not for me is all, and while I don't think they're as perfect as everyone says I do think they are still modern day gaming masterpieces that if I ever do manage to have the time I'll probably at least play Dark Souls.
Just a warning about DS3, it's very linear, not really gonna fill that inter-connectedness vibe like the first. And the combat is way more focused on dodgeroll timing, you can't shieldtank your way through. Some good tunes though. I take it SupraDarky's never played Bloodborne else we would have seen the theme of one of the final bosses on here!
I haven't played Bloodborne yet, but certainly look forward to.
If you don't put up Ludwig's theme on your channel immediately after completing (surviving?) the battle, I will be mightily surprised. That music haunts me to this day.

Oh! Nice timing! Much like you, I've taken my time with this series and am just now playing through Dark Souls 3, after 2014's DS2 and 2015's BB. Still haven't beaten Demon's or the dlc areas for DS2 and BB. I truly had burnt out from the series after having beaten BB. I couldn't muster a lick of excitement for DS3 leading up to its release, but now that I'm back, I love it so far - 20 hrs in. Fave game is hard, it's between DS1 and BB. It's probably DS1, but sometimes I just get that itch for BB's speed. Area? This one's real tough. I honestly have no idea. Same with bosses, tho I really need to play the DLC of BB as I hear great things. Do I praise the sun? Well, my summon sign is permanently yellow. :)

The past week few weeks have been good to me, though very busy. I did take more time to play video games and Zelda BOTW is the main reason why, it truly is amazing! I never hesitated to give a x00 entry to the Souls series, it's my favorite since the X360/PS3 generation. To another 100!
