Loved this place in the game and it's music.
I've never played the DC version but I heard the GC version compressed the sound to fit the game on those tiny disks. Hearing this, I am amazed at how much better it sounds. Maybe I'll pick up a DC with this game just to hear the awesome music as it was originally made.

Walk... encounter... walk... encounter... walk.. encounter... Jesus. Lol. I love this game so much but damn the encounter rate was insane. I really need to dig out my old systems and play this again.
well the encounter rate in the GC version is inferior to the DC one
In the middle of my first 100% playthrough of this. Absolute masterpiece (coming from someone who has a relatively small tolerance for slow, turn-based games). While I would love a sequel, I'd be at peace with this game being left alone: It's so complete and satisfying.
I'm the happy owner of a Gamecube version. It's locked in a treasure chest, even though it's been worn out from playing it so much xD.

I agree! Skies of Arcadia deserves a sequel. I'll even take a brand new setting and characters like what Final Fantasy and Grandia do, as long as they're done right.

Yeah it is. By today's standards it's a bit repetitive during fights but the plot, worldbuilding and all the side stuff is still really good even if a little generic.
Really need to finish this game.

please do it, Try to play it on gamecube, is the best version, Skies of Arcadia: Legends, the only "bad" thing is that the music quality isn't on par with the DC one, they had to downgrade a little to make it fit on de disc
Loves when vyse is executing his skills like pirates wrash, love this in game voices, love the soundtracks and how amazing was the world and batleships in this game. I played on my dreamcast and it conteins one of the best jrpg game of all time like grand and skyes of arcadia.
This just reminds me of how amazing that first dungeon was, with the water running down the sides. Blew me away back in the day.

This game is in my top 10 games and it would be cool to see them bring back this title. The sound of this game is astonishing and I can't believe how big it's world felt when I played it way back when it came out. Also huge boss fights really compares to how shadow of the Colossus feels and this game came out so much earlier

I believe I read that Sega wants to bring back its big franchises to the spotlight, some that have been sleeping for a while. Please give us Skies of Arcadia 2, we need this. Speaking of Dreamcast games, I still can't believe we're actually getting Shenmue 3!
If they can back the original author and director, I would love to see a followup to this marvelous game. Just need to have a new story with new character and some cameos here and there(Akin to Star Ocean series pre 4)

Honestly, while Skies of Arcadia 2 would be nice, I honestly think that they should probably re-release the first one to be replayed for new audiences. Maybe release the game on the 3DS or something.
I bet you could get a lot of interest on the Switch. This is one of the few games I'd flat out re-buy just to show support.
