Oh man, this reminds me of when I got to go to the Louvre a few years ago. It was nice, though I had no intention of exploring _everything._ Of course, I got to see the Mona Lisa, but I was also really pleased with The Wedding at Cana, that ginormous painting directly across from the Mona Lisa.

The result of a surprising parternship between Nintendo and the Louvre museum in Paris, the biggest and most visited in the world. I had the chance to visit the Louvre a few times and I barely managed to see half of it. Of course, I did see the Mona Lisa which is the most popular attraction there. I'm curious to visit it again now that this 3DS guide exists and is handed out there.
I was there last year and got to use the guide, and I thought it was very good. The Mona Lisa and other art in that wing were good but I preferred the Egyptian exhibit.
I've used it too. If I recall correctly, I think it had a feature where you could use the 3DS camera to identify artwork and receive descriptions.

If you want to see the Mona Lisa, come to Madrid. In the Museo del Prado there is a replica crafted by someone in Leonardo's atelier. Maybe Leonardo himself. In fact, maybe this is the original one (at least it's more colourful). And it's not crowded at all.
I'm not sure why the mona lisa is so famous. If I recall correctly, I remember hearing that di vinci himself didn't particularly like it, or that it wasn't his favorite. It's fascinating to see what goes in and out of style.
