This area was really, really hard. I dunno why. I had done pretty much every sidequest up to this point, but I was still about 5 levels below everything here. Good thing both the day and night themes on this Snowy Mountain ruled.
Gotta love Xenoblade. It's my 2nd favorite game of all time.

night version is superior
The day version of this song isn't bad, but the area... it's such a boring, empty, white stereotypical snow area. Definitely my least favorite in the game, even at night.
Probably one of my less favorite areas to travel through as well, but the beautiful atmosphere and music do more than enough to make up for it in my opinion.
I love this theme! The cutscene at the end of this level make Dunban my favorite character ever!
Every single song of this OST I hear makes me shiver and gives me an attack of nostalgia. This is the greatest game ever.
This game is better than Xenoblade X in my opinion. While I did like the implementation of the mechs and the augments better in X, everything from the music to especially the story was better in Xenoblade if you ask me.
God yeah, X was missing so much of the wonderful world building and interesting characters/plot... such a let down ;;
I would probably say that XC is better than XCX, though the scale of the world as well as gameplay in XCX is much more impressive than that in XC. If XC age well (which I believe it will) I will consider it a masterpiece, while I think of XCX as a really good game.
I loved this game's OST but this is one of the few themes in the soundtrack that i didn't liked so much.Sounds a bit boring and monotonous to me.
I really love this song along with the night theme for Snowy Valak Mountain. There is something more grand about this version than the night version that I just can't put my finger on.
I've been literally playing this game for years. I alwasy play a full day, stop and don't pick it up for months for some reason.I just reached these mountains, and it amazes me how this game takes my breath away with every new location!

Don't mix coincidence with fate. No, but similar things have happened several times for me. For example some years ago I beat Golden Sun for the first time, and the next time I go on to youtube SupraDarky has uploaded a track from that game. #Scary
That happens to me literally every time I play a game, Supradarky always seems to upload a track from that game as or after I'm going through it (or even while I'm still considering playing it, and the song is what makes me finally decide to).
I prefer the night theme but the day theme is really underrated and a really great song

You should clarify that this is the Day version of this song. The Night version is completely different. Unless I'm mistaken and the Night version has an actual unique title that isn't just Snowy Valak Mountain - Night.

Late upload! I'm in the process of moving in my first (bought) home, so I've been through some very busy months. But it's all worth it as I now have the keys... the fun part begins! Back to Xenoblade, with all the great announcements during Nintendo's Switch presentation, X2 really caught me by surprise in a great way! It did look a bit rough around the edges in terms of framerate (which I know will be fixed) and I'm still not sure about the new, more JRPG cliché character design, but Monolith has to be one of my favorite developers ever so I'm confident it will be absolutely epic. The best news of all is that the Xenoblade Chronicles composing team is back, more ACE+ please!
How do you take time out of your life to play so many games? You seem to have a pretty busy agenda in general
Gaming is one of my main hobbies and I make sure to reserve some of my time for it. While some people might see that as being a waste of time when surrounded by other responsibilities, I believe it actually helps me be more efficient with my other daily tasks as it helps me relax and refocus myself. My advice is to never give up on your hobbies and passions, as cheesy as that might sound.

Seeing the list of returning composers was the most exciting part of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 announcement for me! I also can't wait to hear what ACE+ brings this time around!
I share your thoughts on the character design, I just like more "realistic" art designs in JRPGs.
I prefer the more realistic style, but I also see why they're giving the JRPG look a shot. As well designed as Xenoblade characters usually are, their in-game models aren't exactly pretty up close. I could see this as their attempt to clean up the art style in general while keeping the sweeping sense of scale and adventure.

+GusM To mention some good games released 2016: AM2R and Pokemon: Sun & Moon. Though I agree that 2016 was a (very) dull year in gaming. It is nice to see that the new Zelda being released this spring, which makes 2017 already better than 2016 in terms of gaming.
I can't notice the difference between 5 frames and 60 while playing and you noticed it in the trailer? WTF people?

Congrats on buying the house! Coincidentally enough, 2008 is when I bought my first house. Also, I absolutely love this game and its soundtrack.
What a coincidence. I've also been moving into my first bought home in January. Quite a lot of work and no time for playing, but still well worth it.
