This game was awesome, but had some really tough spots. There is one level that basically has no ground, and you can only wall run for so long without attacking an enemy, so it has lots of enemies placed strategically around to make it through. There were some tough deaths in that one. Your sword would also constantly drain your life so it encouraged you to run through the levels. The way to really beat bosses was to kill enemies in quick succession, and then hit them last. Lots of interesting mechanics at play, that made it a challenge. Still a fantastic game, and I do remember liking the music.

This game is great, and it's quite hard i 've never managed to defeat the last boss. But there are a lot of great OST's on it.
Man I remember playing and owning this game like.. 12 years ago.. god it was frustratingly hard. I remember getting some serious headache one whole day playing it. Then i discovered Ninja gaiden Black a couple years later.. lol. Seriously tho this series is a poor man's NG tbh.
This is a really great game that I'm playing at the moment actually. However like many others I am stuck on the final boss. He's really cheap! However I think one more evening's play will crack it :) This track and stage 4's "Destroyed By Fire" are my favourites.

Rented this when I was young with my friend and after two days of playing it and struggling we finally defeated the last boss. I remember some of the boss fights were very hard. Reminds me that I really want to play Ninja Gaiden Black.

i never got good at this game, it was a hard game for me, the dubbing when ever they said hte name of the sword cracked me the hell up. still bewildered by that scarf though
I actually looked up this track a few months ago. I use to religiously tell people to check this track (and the game) out. Way unrecognized!

I only played this game for a short time at a friend's house and I remember really liking it. The gameplay was super satisfying, pulling off nice looking combos. The Shinobi series has been dead for quite a while now, but I'd really like Sega to revisit it with some nice budget to back it up.
Well... they sorta touched it with Project X Zone. Not really but at least they acknowledged it.
The game for 3DS was pretty good, imo.
i loved this game. it had a lot of mechanics i really liked.
