Wow beautiful, and curiously not Kirby-ish at all. I just heard the music before seeing what game it is from, I didn't imagine Kirby to be honest.
As with many other Nintendo games, fans get very silent after its release (they talk about it alot 10 or so years after its release :) ). But as soon as Nintendo does something against its fanbase favour, then everyone seem to bash on Nintendo.
Oh, and great song and I guess a great game (since I haven't seen any hate on this one).
I dunno. I really wanted to like this game, but having to look at the touchscreen to control everything while all of the absolutely beautiful action is up there on the TV screen... It's a bit of a downer that the game is great to watch but not great to play. And it's also disappointing that there are basically three main bosses that are each remixed once. It's still a really beautiful game, but I prefer Epic Yarn because you can actually focus on the big screen.
I wonder what Supra thinks about Planet Robobot's soundtrack. Many of the songs in that game were remixes of classic Kirby tunes.
I haven't listened to its soundtrack yet, but I certainly will. Most Kirby games have a mix of originals and remixes.
@SupraDarky Oh, Robobot's soundtrack is amazing indeed. What I feel that threw some people off though, was the staggering amount of recycled music from previous Kirby games. About 80% of them aren't remixed in any way. It is almost like a "Kirby Generations" in fact!
A decent game which I finally bought. The original retailer price was a bit too much but for 25€ I thought I couldn't go wrong because at least the music and visuals should be good. And it's just what I thought it would be. Playing with my siblings is pretty fun and we rotate who is using gamepad and who play as Waddle Dee.
...Did not expect a track like this from a Kirby game.
This is pretty standard for some Kirby games, actually.
Many people don't realize how epic Kirby games can get. Also, a Sakai soundtrack helps.
It's pretty much the same as Canvas Curse, so if you enjoyed that, good news, you'll like this game. Probably even more so.
So what's the verdict on this game as a fan of Canvas Curse? I've heard good things and I'll surely be playing it at some point, but I wonder how far they could push this drawing concept beyond what was already done in the DS entry, which I loved. Well hey, even more of the same would be appreciated on my part!
I don't want to be a downer, but I wouldn't go in expecting any "pushing" on the core concept from Canvas Curse, as they didn't really add much aside from Epic Yarn's transformations from what I can remember, while they removed copy abilities like they had in Canvas Curse. That said, I still thoroughly enjoyed the game. The art and music are amazing, and the gameplay is still Kirby at it's core, which is always great.
I actually liked this game a lot, even though it removed copy abilities. I see that as not a bad thing, considering the nature of this game. I just see removing the copy abilities in this case as removing a complication. The core gameplay and fun were still there.
