it's very text-driven, essentially a visual novel with turn-based fights and a bit of adult stuff even though this is the, for a lack of a better word, tamest from Studio Twinkle.

Ryu Umemoto works his magic on the PC-98. YU-NO, DESIRE, EVE and XENON are all prime examples of FM done right. He is so unknown, it's painful.

I am tempted to check out this game just because of the music, thanks SupraDarky! I have never played a PC-98 game though so I'll have to figure out how to do that.
look up Anex98, solid PC-98 emulator, i use it to play the original 5 touhou games and works pree well
So many great tracks in this game, gotta love the FM synth. Most of the game takes place in a medieval world with your typical swords and magic, but the hero is from a present Japan before he touches a portal that leads him there. That explains the modern (well, not anymore!) bedroom.

Not yet, but I will certianly play it this year for that reason. I don't expect it to be a masterpiece like CT, but I'm intrigued.
