I got pretty far in this game and nearly beat it but lost the file in a fire. It was not a fun playthrough and the controls made it so I had to stand up and I recall getting mad a lot. The music was good though.

IMO, Zelda games have gotten really stale since OOT. The soundtracks though, have kept their epic flare burning brightly.
Definitely getting some Super Mario Galaxy vibes. Well, this is orchestrated Koji Kondo, after all..

Waiting for this one. I love Skyward Sword, but even if you don't, you have to admit that its music is amazing.

A fitting upload as I am playing this right now! And Breath of the Wild really did steal the show at E3. I almost shed a tear of joy watching that trailer for the first time!

The best part of looking at Zelda Breath of the Wild videos was that a lot of people kinda were used to old Zelda controls, so they would forget to press the jump button when trying to jump between some platforms. x)
Getting FFXII vibes from it, wonderful soundtrack.
I think Zelda and Resident Evil 7 were the only things to really keep my attention this year, but I'm also really excited in each of those cases. Hoping for the best
I still remember when I first saw the trailers for this game and being very hyped for it. It was the first 3D Zelda game that I was truly excited for and.... I was disappointed by it. I need to listen to the music for this game because I had mixed feelings about it. This song was very good though, it has that sense of grandeur that you're flying in a very big area. Hopefully the music for Breath of the Wild will be just as good as other Zelda soundtracks.

E3 week is over! What were your thoughts on it? My Game of the Show is... Zelda Breath of the Wild. I knew it would be something special, but I wasn't ready for this. The trailer made me happy, but seeing the hours of gameplay on the Treehouse stream is what really blew me away. I keep searching for new gameplay videos, I can't get enough of them and I can't wait to play Nintendo's take on an open world. The amount of details and gameplay elements I've seen already is very exciting, and I'm glad to see more RPG elements show up. Being able to jump will deliver Link from a more static world. Climbing as well. The puzzles will also be promising thanks to the physics engine. I can't wait!
I can't wait for the puzzles either, the game is probing to be top tier material.
What about the music of Breath of the Wild? What did you think of it?

They seem to be going for more ambient sounds for the field with some piano here and there, and saving the music for villages and dungeons. Even as a fan of VGM, I think this is absolutely the right decision for an open world that you will be spending hours and hours in. I've always said I enjoy games that do the ambient sounds/music right, like Secret of Evermore for example. It can feel more mysterious and helps the immersion.
