I first played this on a private server and enjoyed it. Went back and tried the official version just a couple of days, though, and wasn't able to quite get back into it. :/ Music is definitely awesome, though.
I played this throughout my freshman and sophomore year of college. It had so much great music even back then, and it holds up over the test of time. Also a huge case of soundtrack dissonance when they released the bot-busting method of choice - a super mob that would obliterate you, like Hunter Flies randomly in a newbie zone. All it wound up doing was making bots carry Fly Wings and teleporting at random. I left soon after that update :(
Although if I want to be honest with myself, I may have left because my primary character was a Blacksmith and I was just flat out worse than anyone when the second set of second-tier classes released...

A nice, feel-good theme from an awesome soundtrack. Funny how I can feel nostalgia for a game I only played during a few weeks before being pulled away by the newly released World of Warcraft. The colorful, carefree atmosphere was a definite highlight.
I love RO's soundtracks, make me feel super nostalgic. I used to be such a drama queen so I spent a lot of time angrily wandering the wilds while half the server hunts me down. One half to Kill me because I was a "Non english" Killer so all the Koreans wanted me dead. And half the English speakers who attended my little tea parties in PvP Rooms.
