I used to just leave the shop channel open to hear this for ages. Prefer the Wii shop to the Wii U shop by miles.
So much nostalgia with this theme. I remember coming to this store like every week to see what new titles hit the digital shelves. If it wasn't for the Wii (and in turn, the Wii Shop Channel), I feel like my experiences with video games would be so much different now. I still remember how exciting it was playing A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time for the first times with this service!

I'm surprised you haven't had this song on yet. The Wii Shop music has always filled me with a sense of nostalgia, even when I heard it for the first time. On top of that, the music always gave me this deep primal desire to buy things. Good choice on Nintendo's part with this music.

Yes, this is technically not a VGM, but it's Very Good Music. Totaka has always been great at composing those memorable melodies that just stick with you over the years. I think the first VC title I bought was Super Mario RPG (I ended up not getting too many games though). Nintendo still pumps out great tunes for their various services!

+SupraDarky Totaka is a great composer Wave Race 64, All the Animal Crossing games, Super Mario Land 2 and the search for a totaka's song is fun.
