At this point the fun is not even trying to guess which game was your Number 1 of the year, but which song from Undertale you'll pick.

Well, at least we know Undertale won't be in the top ten for 2015. I wasn't expecting this one, though. I should really play this more.

Yeah this is a lot of fun. Most of the time I've spent is just playing random levels on the weekends with a friend but occasionally during the week I'll try and seek out some more specialized levels.
And we're entering the Top 3! I pretty quickly decided this would be my #3, but I kept switching between my 2 favorite games of the year until I really thought about it and finally took a decision. With its near infinite potential, this is a game we will hear about for years to come, amplified by Nintendo's great ongoing support. The community's great and both modes, creating or playing the levels, are completely addicting. Even watching other people play some of these levels is entertaining. I wonder if this could be the start of a "Maker" series from Nintendo, exploring other franchises like the 2D Zeldas, 2D Metroids, etc. I'd certainly love it.

Great choice! This game is incredible, and is my #3 as well, right behind Undertale and my game of the year Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
+SupraDarky I've thought about the other possible franchises to be used with "Maker", and I came to the conclusion that Mario is best because it has simple rules and simple self-contained levels that are short. With Zelda, you'd have to make something that takes a long time to beat, and contains puzzles that you've spent time making (if it has puzzles in it). And it would have to be large. Metroid is about a very large, interconnected world. It would be hard to make "levels" for it. It would be a different experience, at least, to have a level-based Metroid. Even Kirby has a problem: levels that are very long. I'm not saying that a Maker game for these is impossible, but it would be a lot harder to do than Mario. But I'd like to see them experiment.
