Haha, Sponge Cave Spelunking, sounds like friday nights with my girlfriend. Who am I kidding. My girlfriend doesn't even put out. Mostly because she doesn't exist. :(
This reminds me of Pilotwings 64. It makes me want to give the game a second chance, since I found it so boring the first time I stopped playing it.

Great song choice. While I feel this game is largely unexceptional in the gameplay department (with a notable exception being an awesome level involving scarves), the soundtrack is a standout.

I too consider this my favorite since Yoshi's Island. It took me until world 3 to really like the game, but I think it's a fantastic game now. And it is indeed challenging if you fight for that challenge. Honestly, I don't know if I'd consider as good as Yoshi's Island, or in a close second place. But it's a great game. And it has quite a lot of surprisingly great songs! After the disappointing soundtrack of Yoshi's New Island (it had 3 good songs, that's it) and Yoshi's Story and Yoshi's Island DS, this was a nice pleasant surprise.

Well this is a surprise. Listening to this great soundtrack made me ask a friend to lend the game to me. Not only is this easily my favorite YI since the original (which, to be honest, isn't saying much), it's one of my favorite 2D platformers I played in a while. This is a feel-good game, pure fun. My first impressions weren't that positive as I was mainly impressed by the superb visual style but wary of the lack of challenge which can make the whole package boring to play. However, as I played through the game and went for all the collectibles + gold star, I really had to do my best. The special levels can offer a great challenge as well. The game is just so pleasant to play through and the level design/mechanics can be very clever. Not anywhere near the original's "best games ever" territory in my book, but still very solid!

+SupraDarky After all those (IMO) rather mediocre Yoshi's Island sequels, I was really skeptical about Woolly World. But as a fan of Wario Land: Shake it! and Kirby's Epic Yarn I had to give this game a try. All I have to say is that Woolly World really is a great game. I like it even better than the original Yoshi's Island.
