I think the most unique thing about this dungeon to me was that it did really "feel" like I was in a dungeon--I was in the home of the Yeti couple.
I always had a fascination for haunted ruins, I also find frozen landscapes to be most beautiful. I think it goes without saying that this is probably my favorite Zelda dungeon, with the Forest Temple from OoT being my second favorite.
Probably the most original dungeon in any Zelda game.
I do like the song, but it really isn't very good.
Pleasant enough but not really my thing either.
I feel like they really need to step up their game with the HD remake for this one. I'm not gonna shell out money for a copy with slight texture upgrades when the same thing is easily possible to achieve with an emulator on your PC. There are many good reasons to republish upgraded versions of old classiscs, but I hope companies aren't going to take it too far.
I'd say something like very seasonal, if this wasn't the warmest December ever.
I always thought this dungeon was kind of overrated. Sure, it's a mansion but once you get out of the rooms where the Yetis are at no point does it ever feel like one. It's one of my least favorite dungeons in the game actually, I thought it was very bland.
Man, I loved this dungeon. Though...I have to admit, I didn't realize it was a dungeon until I reached the boss. >> And I also had to resort to walkthroughs because I stink at puzzles.

This was an unique dungeon. The concept, the way you are reaching it (snowboard competition with Zelda's variation of the yeti!) and the puzzles. The only thing I didn't like was the boss. I just thought the design was kind of 'meh' and the fight wasn't really that hard or memerable. The dungeon I liked the most was the Arbiter Grounds. Epic Boss fight. Epic Sub boss fight. A fun time trying to reach the dungeon and the whole atmosphere was just plain creepy and dark.

Are we all going to ignore the snowboarding challenge? Seriously, I had the toughest time racing Yeta...all for a bloody piece of heart...
I MUCH prefer the non-ruins theme, just the regular Snowpeak music. But the dungeon itself is very nice. Or should I say very nICE?

Really hoping the HD remaster changes the ice puzzle room to be a little easier. Don't know how I did the water temple no problem as a kid with no guide but couldn't for the life of me get past that one room even with an official guide.
That was very easy for me, when I was 10, for some reason
wish that the HD remastered got a better quality upgrade like Wind Waker especially since its my fav zelda game ever
Agree with you here; best dungeons in the series. Both clever and creative. If only the series would get more dungeons like this from now on.
Medal Melodies Ikana Tower Temple for me... Especially flipped upside down.
Snowpeak Ruins, one of the most unique settings for a dungeon! And sadly, this was the last good dungeon for me in the game (wasn't a fan of the empty Temple of Time (though it had a well-executed overall puzzle), empty City in the Sky, and the Creepy Hand Palace).
Twilight Princess was the first Zelda I got really into and managed to beat, since I played the others (the 3D ones at least) it's not my favourite but I still love it and it has probably my favourite soundtrack other than Ocarina
the only thing i keep remembering is that one stupid room with the ice puzzle. and im sure theres gonna be someone on the comment section that is gonna say "it wasnt hard at all"... fuck you

+CRADLE619 Nah, it was pretty tricky. I remember solving it for the first time, thinking I was safe, and then accidentally discovering its sequel in Hyrule Field. This game could be pretty rude when it wanted to be.
+Michael Cockrum Yeah, the hidden ice puzzle was even harder. Had me stuck for at least half an hour.
+CRADLE619 My brother and I tried that stupid puzzle for like an hour until we asked our mom (!) for help. She solved it in like 5 minutes and we just sat there in disbelief. I don't know what was to difficult about it, it's so simple and nothing we haven't seen before.
+CRADLE619 If you want frustration, leave Zelda, get Okami and try the final Tosenbo puzzle :D
+Bender B. Rodriguez I don't remember Okami having incredibly difficult puzzles except when you're infiltrating the monster base before the first "final" Orochi fight....

+Bender B. Rodriguez Had to find out his name is Blockhead in American localization, and yeah I do remember him being tough for no good reason, haha.
The whole setting of this dungeon felt like it was building to something very sinister, and the boss/bossfight was a perfect payoff.
TP is my favorite Zelda dungeon-wise thanks to memorable levels like the Snowpeak Ruins. The "mansion" setting with the Yeti couple was a breath of fresh air. There's not much going on in this theme, but the repetition certainly served its purpose of making it easy to remember and associate with its dungeon. I'm highly looking forward to replaying the game when the HD remaster comes out for the Wii U and I wonder if the soundtrack will be enhanced.
for me the midi instrumentation of the songs made it kind of a weak soundtrack overall. Hope they fully orchestrate it for the remaster

+Ridley the pirate though by the standard of recent zelda remakes, the game might be made just as much easier. i always hoped for more twilight action, possibly another landscape, another dungeon and the sorts. some trailers of TP HD only look like some HD Filter was applied on the original game. money making pretty much these days.. let's hope for the best.
